Police Beat Aug. 18


Husband, wife arrested: Jason Lee Wagner, 31, and Joylynn Wagner, 36, both of 72 Dinsmore Ave., Burgettstown, were arrested late Tuesday by McDonald police after they allegedly assaulted each other during a confrontation at their home. Both were arraigned before District Judge Joshua Kanalis on charges of simple assault and harassment. They were released from Washington County jail Wednesday morning after each posted a $5,000 bond.


Copper stolen: State police are looking for information on the theft of copper ground wire and copper buss bars from an AT&T cell tower at 534 Highland Ridge Road, Buffalo. The theft occurred between late March and late July, police said. Anyone with information is asked to call state police at 724-223-5200.


Wall hit: Christina Lukas, 21, of Fredericktown, escaped injury when her car hydroplaned on a wet Low Hill Road in Centerville just after 7 p.m. Tuesday and hit a wall, state police said. She will be cited for not having insurance.


Driver injured: Brittany D. Glasscock, 23, of Pittsburgh, was slightly injured when her vehicle went off northbound Interstate 79 near the Houston exit, went through the median and hit a guardrail on the southbound side about 6 p.m. Tuesday, state police said. She was taken to Canonsburg Hospital for treatment. Glasscock will be cited for failure to drive at a safe speed.


Woman charged: Candice Whoolery, 32, of 3218 Rainbow Run Road, Forward Township, is charged by Rostraver police with theft and receiving stolen property over accusations she leased a television worth $2,300 in February from Prime Rentals, 691 Tyrol Boulevard, and quit making payments when the balance reached $1,200, court records show. District Judge Joseph Dalfonso issued the charges in a summons Tuesday.

Theft case: Erica Lavay Artis, 29, of 52 W. Main St., Uniontown, is charged by township police with theft and retail theft, court records show. Police accuse her of removing an air mattress from a shelf at Walmart, 100 Sara Way, about 1:20 p.m. Feb. 15, taking it to the customer service desk and returning it for a $104 gift card. She also is accused of stealing a jacket worth $13 form the store Feb. 6. District Judge Joseph Dalfonso issued the charges in a summons Tuesday.


Flag stolen: Pat Doman of 435 N. Main St. told Washington police Tuesday that an American flag and pole were stolen from outside her home.
