Players of the Pennsylvania Lottery might have a harder time purchasing tickets on Monday and Tuesday as a result of an upgrade of the Lottery’s computer system. Lottery officials say the upgrade is set to start after midnight Monday and will take until late in the day on Tuesday. Drawings will still occur, but players won’t be able to buy any Fast Play tickets or Draw Game tickets at Lottery retail locations or online. Draw Games include Powerball, Mega Millions, Treasure Hunt, Cash 5 with Quick Cash, Match 6 Lotto, Cash4Life and PICK family of games. All charges against a Washington man accused of supplying the drugs that resulted in a woman’s death last month were held for court Friday morning. Allen Jay Gubanish, 35, appeared before District Judge Kelly Stewart for a preliminary hearing on felony charges of drug delivery resulting in death, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and criminal use of a communication facility. Stewart said an agreement had been reached between the district attorney’s office and Gubanish’s attorney, John Kalenish, to have the charges held without a hearing.
