Corner Cupboard Food Bank receives $5,000 from Consol

December 10, 2016
Consol Energy recently presented the Corner Cupboard Food Bank with a $5,000 check at the Greene County Courthouse to support the food bank’s mission throughout December. Consol employees also donated food items and volunteered on site to collect donations. The donation will allow the food bank to purchase food needed to fill orders for its 11 pantries for one month, providing food security to an estimated 2,000 people, half of which are children and senior citizens. Annually, the food bank provides 867,604 pounds of food through its 11 pantries in Greene County, including Aleppo-Richhill, Center, Cumberland, Dunkard, Franklin-Waynesburg, Jackson, Jefferson, Mon-Greene, Springhill-Freeport, Wayne and Whiteley-Perry townships. Participating in the check presentation are, from left, Chuck Shaynak, senior vice president of operations, CNX Coal Resources LP; Craig Neal, vice president of operations, Consol Energy; Jessica Cole, operations manager, Corner Cupboard Food Bank; and Candace Tustin, executive director, Corner Cupboard Food Bank.
