Disorderly house charge: Julian Cain and Maria Dogaeu, both of California, will be charged by California police with violating the borough’s disorderly house ordinance after police were called Friday to their home at 204 Third St. for complaints about rubbish and loud noise.
Wallet stolen: Hannah Orum of Hallam Avenue, Meadow Lands, told Canonsburg police Friday the window of her vehicle was broken and her wallet was stolen. She told police her vehicle was parked in the 800 block of Short Street.
Child-endangerment charge: Eric Jose Santiago, 29, of 101 Caroline Ave., Monongahela, was arraigned Friday on charges of endangering the welfare of children, simple assault, corruption of minors and harassment filed by Carroll police. He is accused of hitting a 7-year-old boy in the side of the head with a plastic toy Sept. 5. The boy, who had to miss school, was taken to Monongahela Valley Hospital for treatment. Santiago also is accused of slapping the boy. He was placed in Washington County jail on $20,000 bond set by District Judge James Ellis.
Theft alleged: Larry Lee Davis, 39, of 578 Seventh St., and his girlfriend, Crystal Marie Chalfant, 35, of 1135 Lincoln Ave., both of North Charleroi, are charged by Charleroi Regional police with burglary, theft and receiving stolen property, court records show. Police accuse them of stealing $40 from Gary Roberts about 12:20 p.m. Sept. 3 at his residence. Davis also faces a charge of simple assault over allegation he punched Roberts during the incident. Davis and Chalfant were placed in Washington County jail, each on $75,000 bond set Monday by District Judge Larry Hopkins. Chalfant also faces charges of misbranding prescriptions and public drunkenness over allegations she had 30 Naproxen doses and three doses of Diltiazem in a bottle with over-the-counter pain medication when she was found sleeping on a sidewalk in the 400 block of Fourth Street in North Charleroi about 11:55 p.m. Aug. 25, court records show. Hopkins set bond in that case at $25,000.
Charge filed: Melissa Reece, 38, of 306 Lincoln Ave., Charleroi, is charged by Charleroi Regional police with trespassing over accusations she was found in a condemned residence at 721 Fallowfield Ave. about 5 p.m. Aug. 30, court records show. District Judge Larry Hopkins issued the charge Monday by summons.
Drug arrest: Julian Sean Durden, 23, of Pittsburgh, was arrested Friday by Washington County Drug Task Force on charges of possession and possession with intent to deliver crack and possession of paraphernalia. He is accused of selling the drug on four occasions between April 25 and June 22 to a confidential informant in Chartiers. Durden was arraigned before District Judge James Ellis and released from Washington County jail after posting $20,000 bond.
Charged in stop: Shaquore H. Yarbrough, 24, of 22 Thayer St., Washington, was charged last week by state police with possession and possession with intent to deliver heroin, possession of marijuana and traffic violations stemming from a Sept. 7, 2016, traffic stop near the intersection of East Chestnut Street and North Avenue, East Washington. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Drug arrest: Charles Raym Bassett Jr., 37, of 435 Clarendon Ave., Monessen, is charged by city police with resisting arrest, drug possession with intent to deliver, tampering with evidence, disorderly conduct and failure to yield to traffic as a pedestrian, court records show. Police accuse Bassett of attempting to hide a bag of marijuana and grabbing an officer’s vest in an attempt to avoid being placed in a cruiser after he walked in front of it about 2:15 a.m. Saturday on Clarendon Avenue. District Judge Charles Christner sent Bassett to Westmoreland County jail on $5,000 bond.
Assault alleged: Adonte Rainey, 29, of 818 Somerset St., Monessen, is charged by city police with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct over allegations he struck Breanna Porter about 12:30 a.m. Saturday at his residence, court records show. He is free on $5,000 unsecured bond set by District Judge Charles Christner.
Two charged: Cheryl Leigh Johnson, 37, of 200 Shady Ave., Charleroi, and Kiley Lynn McGrady, 35, of 352 Bow St., Stockdale, were charged last week by North Strabane police with theft, receiving stolen property and unauthorized use of a credit card for allegedly using a credit card owned by Bulldog Construction, 134 Morganza Road, to make separate gasoline purchases in August. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Threat charges: Damian L. Sowell, 39, of 200 Village Drive, Canonsburg, was charged last week by North Strabane police with terroristic threats and disorderly conduct after he allegedly threatened to shoot and bomb South Hills Rehabilitation, Village Drive, last month. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Theft arrest: Kayla Nichole McConnell, 27, of North Branch Road, McDonald, was arraigned Friday before District Judge Jay Weller on charges of theft, receiving stolen property and conspiracy for her alleged role, along with two men, in the theft and sale of items stolen in June from a house on Crestview Drive. Her alleged accomplices were previously charged. She was placed in Washington County jail on $30,000 bond.
Arraigned on charges: Brandi L. Byers, 35, of 905 Fayette St., Washington, was arraigned Monday before District Judge Jay Weller on charges of possession of Suboxone and paraphernalia filed by South Strabane police. Police said the suspected drug was found when she was taken into custody Aug. 31 on a parole violation at Motel 6, Motel 6 Drive. Weller set bond at $5,000 on Byers, who has been in Washington County jail on the violation.
Drug charges: Thomas D. Pitts, 35, of Hanoverton, Ohio, was charged last week by state police with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia, disorderly conduct and traffic violations stemming from an Aug. 19 traffic stop on Interstate 70 eastbound near the Murtland Avenue interchange, South Strabane. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Charged in two cases: Brandon P. Kerik, 33, who has addresses in Grindstone and Connellsville, was arraigned Friday before District Judge James Ellis on charges filed against him by police in South Strabane and West Brownsville. South Strabane charged him with theft by deception after he allegedly made a fraudulent return to Lowe’s, Strabane Square, March 4. West Brownsville police charged him with possession of paraphernalia and traffic violations stemming from a Feb. 17 traffic stop at Main Street and Bridge Boulevard. He was released from Washington County jail after posting $5,000 bond.
Two charged: Lindsay Pople, 23, of 570 Maple Terrace, Washington, and Justin Lee Naper, 38, of Pittsburgh, were charged last week by South Strabane police with retail theft and conspiracy after they allegedly stole items valued at $269.97 from Target, Strabane Square, Aug. 11. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Harassment alleged: Jeff Gordon, 60, of 161 Hall Ave., Washington, will be charged with harassment by Washington police after he allegedly shoved Cindy Kovic, 55, of Washington, during a confrontation at his home Saturday.
Window broken: Curtis Gardner of 240 Allison Ave. told Washington police the rear window of his apartment was broken Saturday.
