Two arrested: Erin Diana Chalmers, 27, who state police said is homeless, and Michael Anthony Homes, 35, of 33 Mark Ave., Washington, were arrested Monday by state police on charges of simple assault and harassment after they allegedly assaulted each other in front of 1096 Addison St. She is accused of hitting him in the arm with a crowbar. He allegedly punched her in the face. Both were arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger and placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bonds.
Man jailed: Hunter Vadella, 20, of 403 Route 88, Elco, is charged by Roscoe, Elco, Stockdale and Allenport Regional police with drug possession with intent to deliver, marijuana possession and possession of drug paraphernalia, court records show. Police said a routine check by the Washington County probation office found Vadella had marijuana and related items in a backpack about 7 p.m. Sept. 7 in the 200 block of Forsythe Street. He was placed in Washington County jail on $35,000 bond set Tuesday by District Judge Larry Hopkins.
Woman charged: Kiana Crosby, 27, of 338 Chestnut Ave., Monessen, is charged by city police with obstruction and disorderly conduct over allegations she grabbed a police officer in an attempt to prevent him from taking a man into custody about 2 a.m. Sunday at 12th Street and Knox Avenue, court records show. District Judge Joseph Dalfonso issued the charges in a summons Tuesday.
Threat alleged: Tamaine Oscar Underwood, 37, of 606 Reed Ave., Monessen, is charged by city police with making terroristic threats, disorderly conduct and driving with a suspended license over allegations he threatened to assault a police officer during a traffic stop about 1:30 p.m. Sunday in the 600 block of Reed Avenue, court records show. District Judge Joseph Dalfonso issued the charges by summons Monday.
Man wanted: Drew Jason Smith, 43, of 819 Lincoln Ave., Charleroi, is wanted by city police on charges of theft over accusations he stole a pickup truck Sept. 1 from Danalle Bonde. Smith also was charged with receiving stolen property and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, court records show. District Judge Joseph Dalfonso signed a warrant Tuesday for Smith’s arrest.
Woman charged: Kasey Marie Cavanaugh, 21, of 1331 Summit Ave., Monessen, is charged by city police with receiving stolen property over allegations she was found to be wearing a stolen ring valued at $200 about 1:50 p.m. Aug. 30 at her residence. The ring had been stolen during a recent burglary, police said. District Judge Joseph Dalfonso signed a warrant Tuesday for Cavanaugh’s arrest.
Man jailed: Mark E. Torrey, 21, of 236 Chess St., Monongahela, is charged by city police with strangulation and simple assault over allegations he choked and struck Jennifer Teetor in his residence about 5:30 p.m. Monday, court records show. Torrey was placed in Washington County jail on $2,500 bond set by District Judge Curtis Thompson.
Club cited: The operators of the Independent Political Club Houston Branch, 25 S. Main St., Houston, were cited Friday by state police for operating without a valid liquor license for two years prior to July 19 by failing to maintain complete and truthful records covering the operation of the licensed business.
Charges filed: Jacob Lowrie Moore, 23, of 112 Lakeview Drive, Peters Township, is charged by state police with drug possession, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and disorderly conduct stemming from a two-vehicle accident on Interstate 70 west about 8:40 a.m. Jan. 1, court records show. District Judge Curtis Thompson issued the case by summons Tuesday.
Theft arrest: Rachel Lynn Kennedy, 35, of 190 E. High St., Waynesburg, was arrested Monday by South Strabane police on a charge of retail theft. She is accused of stealing 51 items valued at $255.71 from Walmart, Trinity Point. She was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger and placed in Washington County jail on a $5,000 percentage bond.
Hit-and-run crash: South Strabane police said a man driving a silver, 1997 Toyota sport utility vehicle with Ohio license plates struck a utility pole in front of 1401 N. Main St. about 3:30 p.m. Monday. Two men, who a witness said did not speak English, got out of the vehicle. They then got back inside, and the driver backed the vehicle off the pole, hit a mailbox and fled south on North Main. The vehicle is registered to an Ohio woman, police said.
Washer damaged: Doloris McClelland of Washington told Washington police Monday the coin mechanism on a washing machine in a building she owns at 1130 Summerlea Ave. was damaged by a tenant.
