Caitlin Thomas and Carson Allen were united in marriage September 2, 2017, at McDonald Presbyterian Church. Justin Amsler officiated the 3:30 p.m. ceremony.
The bride’s parents are Jerry and Marlene Thomas of McDonald. Her grandparents are Dorothy Alrutz of McDonald, the late Donald Alrutz, Genevieve Thomas of McDonald and the late Edward Thomas.
Parents of the bridegroom are Steve and Allison Allen of Midland. His grandparents are Gene and Brenda Carriker of Mint Hill, N.C., and the late Jerry and Add Allen.
The bride was given in marriage by her father, Jerry Thomas.
Maid of honor was Michelle Krek of Presto, cousin of the bride. Bridesmaids were Rayna Shears of Midway and Oyuki Thomas of Pittsburgh, sister-in-law of the bride.
Flower girl was Maikiha Heston.
Jesse Helms of Monroe, N.C., served as best man. Ushers were Gavin Allen of East Concord, N.C., brother of the groom, and Jared Thomas of Pittsburgh, brother of the bride.
The bride graduated from Fort Cherry High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Robert Morris University and a master’s degree in energy management from Waynesburg University. She is employed by EQT.
Mr. Allen graduated from the American School and is employed by Frontier Environmental Services.
A reception was held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Pittsburgh – Meadow Lands.
The couple honeymooned in Ireland.
They reside in Midway.
