CALIFORNIA
Marijuana charge: Brittney Ann Karpeal, 20, of Brownsville, will be charged by California police with three counts of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia stemming from a traffic stop early Thursday on Pennsylvania Avenue.
CANONSBURG
Struck by mirror: Terri Patterson, 50, of 138 Oak Spring Road, Canonsburg, told Canonsburg police that she was struck by the mirror of a passing vehicle as she walked on Pike Street near Oak Spring about 9:35 p.m. Friday.
Patterson refused treatment for an elbow injury. She showed police a piece of mirror that broke off the dark sport utility vehicle. Police said Patterson was wearing dark clothing and the driver may not have realized she had been hit.
Theft from truck: A global positioning unit, laptop computer and cordless drill were stolen from a truck owned by Advent Communications while it was parked Thursday on Four Coins Drive, Canonsburg police said.
MORRIS TOWNSHIP
Internet scam: Darlene McWee of Washington told state police Friday that she posted an ad on Craigslist to sell a piece of farm equipment. She got a response from a person who promised to pay $800 and then received a check for $2,500 in the mail. The person who sent the check asked her to send a check for $1,600 to his shipper in Texas and keep another $100 for her trouble. It was determined the check was bogus before McWee sent any money.
MT. PLEASANT TOWNSHIP
Assault charge: William Brian Jemison, 29, of 55 Second St., Westland, faces charges after he assaulted a man inside a Westland bar Thursday night, Mt. Pleasant police said.
Jemison is accused of punching Robert Clemons inside Sharek's Tavern, Route 519. Clemons went to his home to call police. Jemison fled from the tavern when police arrived. He was caught a few hours later and struggled with the officer as he was taken into custody, police said.
Jemison will be charged with simple assault, terroristic threats, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. He was placed in Washington County Jail on an adult probation detainer.
NORTH STRABANE TOWNSHIP
Blocks stolen: A worker for Metz Development of McMurray told North Strabane police Thursday that concrete blocks were stolen from a construction site on Hunt Club Drive. A witness reported seeing the driver of a sport utility vehicle fill its back up with the blocks. Police were given a license number for the suspect vehicle.
PETERS TOWNSHIP
Two-car accident: One driver was slightly injured in an accident at 1:30 p.m. Thursday on East McMurray Road, township police said.
A car driven by Douglas Maronde, 17, of West McMurray Road, McMurray, and a car driven by Keith Peterson, 56, of Kilarney Drive, Pittsburgh, both were heading west on East McMurray Road, police said. Peterson was stopped in traffic when his car was struck from behind by Maronde's car, police said.
Maronde and passengers Robert Murgie, 16, of Roscommon Place, McMurray, and Douglas Nee, 17, of Mt. Blaine Drive, McMurray, were not injured.
Peterson complained of pain but did not require medical transport, police said.
Items stolen: A car stereo, an iPod and a backpack with school books were stolen from a car parked on the north side of a building at 3637 Washington Road, township police said.
The owner said he left the items, valued at $680, in the car at 4 p.m. Thursday, and when he returned at 9:33 p.m. everything was missing. There was no sign of forced entry.
Vehicle entered: A woman told police early Friday that her sport utility vehicle was entered and a cardboard box was stolen while the vehicle was parked in the drive of her residence on Castlebrooke Drive, Venetia. Two gold angel pins were also stolen. The vehicle was entered between 2 and 6 a.m. Friday.
WASHINGTON
Tires cut: Tracy Savage of 117 Maple Ave. told Washington police Thursday that vandals cut the sidewalls on the tires on the passenger side of her vehicle.
Window broken: John Smith of 38 Springfield Ave. told Washington police Thursday that a piece of asphalt was thrown through the kitchen window of his home.
Pumpkin thrown: Don Smith of 103 Hall Ave. told Washington police Thursday that a pumpkin was thrown through his living room window.
Woman arrested: Jacqlyn Ellis, 30, of 1073 Addison St., Washington, was arrested early Friday by Washington police on a domestic relations bench warrant. She also faces charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia for having the suspected drug when she was taken into custody near the intersection of Walnut Street and Hall Avenue.
Store robbed: Washington police said Walgreen's, Jefferson Avenue, was robbed just before 5 a.m. Friday. Police said a black man in his 30s entered the store and grabbed a Vivitar digital camera. He told employees that if they came near him he would shoot them and then ran from the store.
He is 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighs about 150 pounds and has a scruffy beard. He wore a red hooded shirt and black jeans.

Harassment: Jeremy Shawn Barnhart of Waynesburg was charged with harassment and disorderly conduct at 8:35 p.m. Monday after he allegedly got into a fight with Bobbi Jo Ankrom at Mountain View Gardens, Franklin Township.
Theft: State police are investigating thefts of material from a construction site at EverGreene Drive, Franklin Township. Stolen were boxes of wire from Wellington Power Corp., Pittsburgh; copper pipe belonging to Flaherty Mechanical Contractors of Bridgeville; and a box of tape belonging to All American Insulation, Pittsburgh. The thefts occurred Oct. 28 or Oct. 29.
