One-vehicle wreck: A vehicle driven by Eric William Neal of Canonsburg crashed on Interstate 79 south near the Canonsburg on-ramp about 10:30 p.m. Monday.
State police said his vehicle went through the grass median between the north and south bridges down an embankment and became stuck just above South Central Avenue. He was taken to Washington Hospital, where blood was drawn to determine his alcohol content.
CANTON TOWNSHIP
Boat stolen: Charles Morris of 178 Ellis Ave., Canton, told state police Tuesday that his 18-foot aluminum boat was stolen. It was found at the home of a Washington woman. Charges are pending.
CHARTIERS TOWNSHIP
Suspicious fire: Chartiers firefighters were called about 2:25 a.m. Wednesday to a fire in an abandoned home owned by Waste Management at 343 Arden Road. The house was engulfed when firefighters arrived. Fire Chief Vince Altieri said a state police fire marshal was called to investigate the suspicious fire. There were no utilities to the home.
Break-in reported: Leola May Woodford of 325 Sprowls Ave. told Chartiers police Saturday that a mobile home that she uses for storage on Patsch Street was entered. Stolen were a diamond and pearl ring and DVD player.
Oxygen tank stolen: A liquid oxygen tank valued at $2,500 was stolen Tuesday from a rear loading dock at Welding Equipment Co., 325 Country Club Road, Chartiers police said.

Forged prescriptions: Two women are suspected of stealing two prescription blanks from the office of Dr. Alvaro Changco, Route 917, Cokeburg, Wednesday, state police said. The forms were forged and used at Walgreens Pharmacy in Washington.
EAST FINLEY TOWNSHIP
Pipe damaged: Jay Michael Plants of Claysville told state police Wednesday that a drain pipe was damaged at his property at 209 Rock Hollow Road, East Finley.
MIDWAY
Assault charges: Michael Charles Huchko, 30, and Heather Dillon, 30, both of 708 Maple Grove, Bulger, Robinson Township, were arrested early Wednesday by state police on charges of simple assault and harassment.
The two were in the parking lot of Kramer's Tavern, 219 Dickson St., Midway, about 2:30 a.m. Dillon started punching and hitting Huchko, according to a complaint filed by state police. Huchko then pushed her to the ground. When she fell, Dillon hit her head and became unconscious. He left before police arrived. She was taken to Washington Hospital.
Both were arraigned before District Judge Gary Havelka and placed in Washington County Jail on $1,500 bond, each.
PETERS TOWNSHIP
Purse stolen: A Coach purse with $150 in cash and credit cards was stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in the drive of a house in the 100 block of Springbrook Drive, Venetia, township police said. The theft was reported at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Hit-and-run: One woman was slightly injured during a hit-and-run accident Tuesday evening, township police said.
Drivers Nicola Dabarno, 48, of 140 Froebe Road, Venetia, and Linda Totura, 47, of 71 Craven Drive, Charleroi, were traveling east in the 400 block of East McMurray Road when a white pickup truck struck Dabarno's sport utility vehicle in the rear, forcing Dabarno to strike the rear of Totura's car, police said. The driver of the pickup truck fled. Totura complained of minor pain but refused medical treatment, police said. The incident occurred at 7:43 p.m.

Fire damages house: State police said the fire that damaged a home at 314 E. Third St. Sunday morning in Smith Township was caused by careless disposal of smoking materials. None of the residents, George Kearns, 34, Charity Kearns, 33, Eian Kearns, 5, and Ryan Fluharty, 11 months, was injured in the fire. The home, owned by Kostas Barbusch of Langeloth, had an estimated $6,000 damage.
WASHINGTON
Women arrested: Two Washington women were arrested Tuesday after they were found in an abandoned house.
Terry L. Fonner, 43, of 301 W. Maiden St., and Kathy S. Amon, 45, of 997 1/2 Redstone Road, were both charged with criminal trespass after they were found in the bedroom of a house at 546 W. Chestnut St.
Police were called to the house at 4:30 p.m. after neighbors reported seeing two people enter the abandoned house carrying two six-packs. When police entered the house, they heard voices in the bedroom area, where they found the women sitting on a bed watching television.
Police said it looked like the women had been there for some time, as they had make-shift heaters and stoves, canned food and a microwave. Electricity still was available at the house.
Man sought: Washington police said they plan to file charges against David Woodhouse Jr., 27, whose last-known address is 75 W. Katherine Ave., for violating a protection-from-abuse order. Woodhouse allegedly called Michelle Harvey, 32, of Washington, Tuesday and asked her about his surrendering to police. He also asked to see his dog.
Police have been searching for Woodhouse since he led officers from two municipalities on chases Feb. 29. Woodhouse is accused of trying to hit a North Strabane Township police sergeant with his vehicle during one of the chases.
Fence damaged: Three unidentified juveniles were seen damaging a privacy fence outside a home in the 1900 block of Jefferson Avenue, Washington police said. The witness reported the incident at 2:25 a.m. Tuesday.
Theft reported: John McMullen of Washington reported that someone used his credit card to charge $250 in items via the Internet.
Disorderly conduct charges: Charges were filed against Heather Yerkey, 26, of 28 Windy Hill Lane, Burgettstown, and Heather Dillon, 30, of 708 Maple Grove Road, Bulger, after an incident Wednesday morning at Washington Hospital.
Police said Dillon was being treated in the hospital's emergency room when she and Yerkey caused a disturbance. The women were escorted out of the hospital by police but refused to leave.
Yerkey was charged with disorderly conduct and public drunkenness. Dillon was charged with disorderly conduct.
