Three people were arrested Saturday night by state police in Waynesburg after they allegedly assaulted and robbed a Waynesburg man at a Franklin Township apartment complex.

Quincy Javaughn Jennings, 19, and Katrina Irene Hilverding, 18, both of Waynesburg, and Charles Henson France, 18, of Masontown, W.Va., were arrested for their role in the assault and robbery of Frederick Speer.

Speer called state police about 6 p.m. to report that he was robbed at 116 Mountain View Garden Apartments.

He told police that two men with bandannas over their faces assaulted him. They reportedly stole Speer's laptop computer and his cellular telephone.

When police arrived, witnesses told the troopers that the men got into a tan Ford Ranger. Hilverding was identified as the driver.

The vehicle was seen driving south on Interstate 79 near the Mt. Morris exit. State police stopped the vehicle. In the bed of the pickup truck, police found a laptop computer and cell phone. Found in the vehicle along with Hilverding were Jennings and France.

All three were arraigned before District Judge Lee Watson.

Jennings and France are charged with robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery and theft, simple assault and theft. Jennings was placed in Greene County Jail on $25,000 bond while France was jailed on $20,000 bond. Hilverding was charged with conspiracy to commit robbery. She was placed in jail on $20,000 bond.

A preliminary hearing is set for April 8 before District Judge Glenn Bates.
