William Thomas (Bill) Rodgers Jr., 48, of Milner, Ga., formerly of Canonsburg, died Tuesday, May 6, 2008, from injuries he received in a motorcycle accident.
Mr. Rodgers was born February 9, 1960, in Pennsylvania, a son of Susan Rodgers and the late William Rodgers Sr.
He was Protestant.
Mr. Rodgers was a 1978 graduate of Canon-McMillan High School and a graduate of Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics. He was a member of Griffin Moose Lodge, Windwalkers and ABATE of Georgia. He was an avid Steelers fan.
He was honored by Georgia Gov. Sonny Perdue in 2004 for his March of Dimes fundraising efforts.
Mr. Rodgers was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Teresa Rodgers of Milner; a son and daughter-in-law, Alex and Wanda Cleveland; a grandson, Alex "Little A" Cleveland Jr.; his mother, Susan Rodgers; a brother, Robert B. Rodgers; two sisters, Wendy M. Wise and Becky S. Duritza; a grandmother, Edna McCullough; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 18, in St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 135 North Jefferson Avenue, Canonsburg. A reception will follow in Jessop Club, Washington. Attendees are requested to wear black and gold and bring their Terrible Towels.
Memorial donations may be made to March of Dimes for the benefit of children in his memory.

Rosalie Vaccari, 63, of Finleyville, died Saturday, May 10, 2008, in Jefferson Regional Medical Center.
She was born January 26, 1945, in Columbus, Ohio, a daughter of the late William Ralph and Ettice Ely Johnson.
Mrs. Vaccari was an accomplished pianist and taught piano for many years.
She was a member of Nottingham Christian Center in Eighty Four.
Surviving are her husband, Anthony Vaccari; a son, John Vaccari and wife Christy of Allentown; two daughters, Natalie Furlong and husband Brent and Melanie Catana and husband Sebastian, both of Finleyville; and four grandchildren, Abigail, Analise, Olivia and Maria.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Kegel Funeral Home Inc., Tim P. Kegel, supervisor, 3560 Washington Avenue, Finleyville. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 14, in Nottingham Christian Center, 1028 Linden Road, Eighty Four, with Pastor William Lusk officiating. Everyone please meet at the church Wednesday morning.

Minor League Hall of Famer
James J. Pomykala Czenzek, 79, of Washington, died Saturday, May 10, 2008, in Donnell House, Washington.
He was born May 12, 1928, in Washington, a son of James Sr. and Nellie Ponto Pomykala Czenzek.
Mr. Czenzek was a graduate of Trinity High School and a member of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church, Meadow Lands.
As a young man, he pitched for the Pittsburgh Pirates Minor League farm team, where he pitched a perfect game and was elected to the Minor League Hall of Fame.
He was a welder for McGraw Edison, retiring in 1990.
An avid Pirates fan, Mr. Czenzek was a golfer for many years.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict and was a member of American Legion 902 and Veterans of Foreign Wars 8803. He also was a member of Bears Club 83 in Meadow Lands.
On June 27, 1959, in Washington, he married Helen Dragan, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Doug (Lizabeth) Czenzek of Orange County, Calif.; two daughters, Diane (Mike) Raymond of Prosperity and Susan (Rob) Logsdon of Avella; a sister, Stella Gualteri of Washington; a brother, John Pomykala of Washington; and five grandchildren, Rachel and Amanda Raymond and Samantha, Jacqueline and Dwight Logsdon.
Deceased are five brothers, William Pomykala, Walter Simpson and George, Joseph and Henry Pomykala.
There will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 15, in Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, Meadow Lands, with Father John O'Shea as celebrant.
