Numerous people recently appeared in Washington County Court on criminal charges.

Appearing before Judge Paul Pozonsky were:

Gregory H. Hall, 41, of 242 Cole School Road, Avella; first driving-under-the-influence offense, accidents involving injury; charged Dec. 18 following a two-vehicle crash on Racetrack Road in North Strabane Township and then fleeing on foot from the scene, his blood-alcohol content was 0.16 percent; sentence - 3 days to 12 months in jail, $1,000 fine, drug and alcohol evaluation and treatment, driver's license suspension.

Jessica A. Skolyak, 23, of 57 Main St., Daisytown; first DUI offense, driving with a suspended license; charged Nov. 23 following a traffic stop on Wood Street in California with a 0.10 percent BAC; sentence - 48 hours to 6 months in jail, $700 in fines, drug and alcohol evaluation and treatment, driver's license suspension.

Vincent Cutshall, 45, of 62 Victoria St., Washington; welfare fraud; charged for concealing wages while receiving $2,369 in food stamps from Dec. 1, 2006 to July 31, 2007; sentence - 23 months of probation, restitution.

Jack Desellems, 33, of 1109 Crest Ave., Charleroi; possession of drug paraphernalia; charged Jan. 18 at the Subway on McKean Avenue in Charleroi; sentence - Probation Without Verdict program for 12 months.

John F. McFalls, 21, of 523 Weaver Road, Canonsburg; receiving stolen property; charged Dec. 5 for cashing a check that was stolen from a Cecil Township home; sentence - 12 months of probation.

William Malarkey, 45, of 317 Ten Mile Road, Amity; possession with intent to deliver marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia; charged May 23, 2008, on Jefferson Avenue in Washington; sentence - 12 months of probation.

Jeremy D. Black, 29, of 237 Vaneal Road, South Franklin Township; access device fraud; charged Dec. 30 for falsely obtaining money from a Washington woman's child support account; sentence - 12 months of probation.

Terry L. Holmes, 58, of 295 Dusty Trail Road, Claysville; false reports; charged for giving state police false information on July 18; sentence - 12 months of probation.

Jennie M. Toland, 36, of 1147 1st St., Denbo; selling/furnishing liquor to minors; charged Dec. 8 at her home; sentence - 12 months of probation.

Gene R. Lee Jr., 41, of 204 Meadow Ave., Charleroi; second DUI offense; charged Oct. 24 on Meadow Avenue in Charleroi, refusing BAC testing; sentence - 90 days to 18 months in jail with the minimum sentence to be served on consecutive weekends, $1,500 fine, drug and alcohol evaluation and treatment, driver's license suspension.

Charles H. Rush, 46, of 441 Scene Drive, Avella; first DUI offense; charged Jan. 19 when found passed out in a vehicle at the BP Station on Jefferson Avenue in Washington, refusing BAC testing; sentence - 20 days to 6 months in jail, $1,000 fine, drug and alcohol evaluation and treatment, driver's license suspension.

John W. Woods Jr., 28, of 106 Old West Road, Bentleyville; second DUI offense; charged Nov. 28 following a two-vehicle accident at Piersol and James streets in Bentleyville with a 0.140 percent BAC; sentence - 30 days to 6 months in jail with minimum sentence to be served on consecutive weekends, $750 fine, drug and alcohol evaluation and treatment, driver's license suspension.

William E. Carson, 63, of 108 Eighth St., Mononagehela; first DUI offense; charged Nov. 16 following a traffic stop on West Main Street in Monongahela with a 0.215 percent BAC; sentence - 72 hours to 6 months in jail, $1,000 fine, drug and alcohol evaluation and treatment, driver's license suspension.

William Bunnell, 33, of 115 Rose Ave., Washington; simple assault; charged May 1, 2008, for assaulting a man in a parking lot on Main Street in Washington; sentence - 23 months of probation.

Three people were admitted to the Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition program for first-time offenders. If they successfully complete the program, they can petition the court to have their records expunged.

Charles Rush, 46, of 441 Scene Drive, Avella, was admitted for 12 months for a first DUI offense. He was charged Oct. 25 on Ewing Street in Washington.

Zachary O. Powell, 26, of 81 Hufford Run Road, Marianna, was admitted for 12 months for a first DUI offense. He was charged Oct. 9 following a traffic stop on Martindale Road in Beallsville.

Amanda McGary, 22, of 102 Hewitt Ave., Canton Township, was admitted for 12 months for false reports. She was charged for falsely reporting a burglary and assault to police on Jan. 1.

Three people appeared before Judge Janet Moschetta Bell and were admitted to the ARD program.

Robert L. Stubbs, 23, of 430 Liberty Ave., Donora, was admitted for 12 months for a first DUI offense. He was charged Nov. 18 following a vehicle accident on Walnut Street in Donora.

James Weimer, 26, of 5855 Darlington Road Rear, Pittsburgh, was admitted for 12 months for selling/furnishing liquor to minors. He was charged Aug. 21 in Hanover Township.

Smith E. Manson, 47, of 1651 Wellington Ave., Youngstown, was admitted for 12 months for a first DUI offense. He was charged Oct. 31, 2007, following a vehicle accident on Route 88 in Union Township.
