One of two men wanted in the attack of a Virginia man a week ago is in Washington County Jail on $500,000 bond after turning himself in to police late Friday.
Trey Deshaun Willis, 22, of 77 Aylesworth Ave., East Washington, arrived at the South Strabane Township police station Friday evening, accompanied by his attorney, Noah Geary.
Township police Detective John Bruner said Geary had notified police of Willis' arrival.
A telephone call Saturday evening to Geary was not returned.
Willis, who was arrested without incident, was arraigned at midnight before District Judge Valarie Costanzo, Bruner said.
Arrest warrants for Willis and Richard Louis Pruden, 23, of 234 Locust Ave., Washington, were issued.
"We are still looking for Pruden," Bruner said Saturday afternoon. "If anyone knows where he is or who he is associating with, contact police."
The warrants indicated charges of attempted homicide, aggravated assault, simple assault, robbery and criminal conspiracy.
The men are wanted for the attack on Gabriel Bonilla early June 14 in the parking lot of Motel 6 off North Avenue.
Bonilla, 39, was stabbed on the right side of his neck and punched in his face in what police described as an unprovoked and a "gang-style attack." He required four units of blood and suffered nerve damage to his face and neck.
Willis was found not quilty in 2005 by a Washington County jury of the murder of Susan Van Syckle.
In another case, he was found guilty in 2005 of simple assault and reckless endangerment.
Pruden was found guilty of simple assault, terroristic threats and harassment in 2006 for threatening to kill someone. In 2004, he was found guilty for hitting a pregnant woman and on drug charges.
