Announcement is made of the recent marriage of Alena Marie Roberts and Jonathan Edward Norton. The Honorable Judge Michael E. McCarthy married the couple June 1, 2009, at noon in Allegheny County Courthouse.
The bride is the daughter of Harry Richard and Carol Jean Roberts of Washington. Her grandparents are Genevieve Kulmoski of Washington and the late John A. Kulmoski Sr., and Mabel Roberts of Washington and the late James Roberts.
Mr. Norton is the son of John and Eve Picker Norton of Pittsburgh. His grandparents are Berthold and Ellen Picker of Australia and the late James and Ilse Norton.
The new Mrs. Norton is a graduate of Trinity High School and Duquesne University. She is employed at the H.J. Heinz Innovation Center in Warrendale, in the research and development department.
Pvt. 1st Class Norton serves in the U.S. Army. Having completed basic training and airborne training at Fort Benning, Ga., he is stationed at Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas. He formerly was employed at Flowserve Manufacturing in Bridgeville. He graduated from the Oakland School and the New Castle School of Trades.
