Laptop stolen: Andrew Sleek of 102 W. College St. told Canonsburg police Tuesday that a laptop computer in a bag was stolen from his unlocked vehicle while it was parked on Ash Alley.
Drugs stolen: Louis Marra of 819 Gladden Road told Canonsburg police Tuesday that prescription drugs were stolen from his home.
CANTON TOWNSHIP
Saws stolen: Two chain saws were reported stolen Saturday from Contractor's Connection, Wilmington Avenue, Canton, state police said.
CHARTIERS TOWNSHIP
Drill stolen: A Hilti 18-volt drill owned by American Building Products was reported stolen Tuesday from a site at Arden Villas, Fairmeadows Drive, Chartiers police said.
Windshield broken: David Gaydos of 850 W. Pike St. told Chartiers police Tuesday that vandals broke the windshield of his car.
NORTH STRABANE TOWNSHIP
Door damaged: William Knightway of 1140 Meadowbrook Drive told North Strabane police that vandals kicked the front door to his home Monday night.
PETERS TOWNSHIP
Chair stolen: A second resident of the 200 block of Bayberry Court, McMurray, reported the theft of a porch chair, township police said. The theft was reported at 1:05 p.m. Tuesday. The first theft occurred Monday.
Car entered: An unlocked car parked along Woods Lane, McMurray, was entered and a wallet and pack of gum were stolen, township police said.
The wallet contained credit cards and personal papers, but no money, police said. The theft occurred between 9 p.m. Monday and 10 a.m. Tuesday. Police were notified at 1:43 p.m. Tuesday. The wallet, but not its contents, was found about 3 p.m. Tuesday along Johnston Road, police said.
Groceries stolen: A woman told police she purchased $90 in groceries at Giant Eagle, 4007 Washington Road, at 8:56 p.m. Tuesday. When leaving the store, she realized she had left her car keys at the check-out station, township police said.
The woman left her grocery cart at the store entrance while retrieving her keys. When she returned to the cart, the bags of groceries were missing, police said.
SMITH TOWNSHIP
Man arrested: Robert S. Straffon, 38, of 3 Townsite Road, Langeloth, was arrested Tuesday night by Smith police for allegedly trying to stab a man at a neighbor's home.
Straffon is accused of lunging at Jeramie J. Stevens and trying to stab him with a knife.
Straffon was arraigned before District Judge Valarie Costanzo on charges of aggravated assault, harassment and reckless endangerment. He was placed in Washington County Jail on $5,000 bond.
WASHINGTON
Bar burglary: A 40-inch, flat-screen television, touch-screen video game and cash were stolen Tuesday in a burglary at New York Cafe, 250 S. Main St., Washington police said.
Window broken: Kurt Allender of Lawrence told Washington police Tuesday that vandals broke a window on his vehicle while it was parked at Washington Medical, 680 W. Chestnut St.
PFA violation: Eric Richter, 31, of 68 Clayton Court, Washington, was arrested Tuesday on a warrant for violating a protection-from-abuse order. He is accused of going into the Washington County Courthouse on June 24 and threatening Stephanie Richter. When she came outside, he again reportedly threatened her.
Richter was arraigned before District Judge Valarie Costanzo and placed in Washington County Jail on $2,500 bond.
