The golden wedding anniversary for Ed and Rose Almasy of Washington was celebrated with a party given by their children for family and friends at the Candlelight Room in Washington.
The couple were married April 25, 1959, in St. Michael Church, Canonsburg.
Mr. and Mrs. Almasy have three children, Michael Almasy of Strabane, Maria McGrosky of Clinton and Melanie Faigley of Canonsburg.
Their grandchildren are Brianne and Kyle Almasy, Tristan, Logan and Libby McGrosky and Samuel, Matthew and Zachary Faigley.
Mr. Almasy retired from Universal Cyclops, Pittsburgh plant.
Mrs. Almasy retired from Country Meadows as a hairdresser and volunteers at Washington Hospital. She enjoys cooking.
Both enjoy playing golf and spending time with their grandchildren.
