Single-lane closures will occur nightly next week in the Fort Pitt Tunnel on the Parkway West in Pittsburgh.
Single-lane closures will occur from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night. On Sunday and Monday nights, work will be done on the outbound lanes, while the inbound lanes will be done Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
State Department of Transportation crews will be conducting electrical maintenance and cleaning operations inside the tunnels.
Sobriety checkpoint planned in county
The Washington County Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol Task Force will hold a sobriety checkpoint at an unspecified location before Sunday night.
