Doris M. Andre, 86, formerly of Emporium, died Tuesday, July 8, 2008, in Washington County Health Center, Chartiers Township.
She was born October 29, 1921, in Emporium, a daughter of Demonte and Nellie Bunce Whiting.
On November 8, 1947, in Hollidaysburg, she married James Andre, who died in 1983.
Originally from Emporium, Mrs. Andre was a longtime resident of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Washington and retired back to Emporium for quite a few years before returning to Washington to be near her children.
She was a 1940 graduate of Emporium High School.
Surviving are a son, Charles R. Andre, and a daughter, Vonda K. Andre, both of Washington; two grandchildren, Tonya Lambrecht of Greer, S.C., and Tambi Caggiano of Cowpen, S.C.; two great-grandchildren; a stepgranddaughter; four stepgreat-grandchildren; a brother, James Whiting of St. Marys; two sisters, Rebecca Little and Mrs. Richard (Beverly) Cool, both of Emporium; and nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to her husband, is a son, Richard S. Andre.
Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m., the time of service, Thursday, July 10, in Coppersmith-Condon Funeral Home, Emporium, with the Rev. Gary Atkinson, pastor of First United Methodist Church of Emporium, officiating. Burial will be in Sterling Run Cemetery, Cameron County. Mary Lou Beppler, 71, of Canonsburg, died Tuesday, July 8, 2008, in her home.
She was born February 20, 1937, in Canonsburg, a daughter of Clyde F. and Zelma Sherman Beppler.
She lived all of her life in Canonsburg.
She was a 1955 graduate of Canonsburg High School and retired from F.W. Woolworth after 30 years of employment.
She was Protestant.
She enjoyed listening to gospel music, reading and spending time with family.
Surviving are a sister, Kathleen Leadbitter of McDonald; three nephews, Dr. Gilbert (Gina) Leadbitter of Belle Vernon, Kevin (Lisa) Leadbitter of Charleroi and Patrick (Rebecca) Leadbitter of Finleyville; a niece, Sharon Leadbitter of Pittsburgh; two great-nephews, Jacob and Isaiah Leadbitter; and five great-nieces, Jessica, Kaitlin and Gabrielle Leadbitter and Shana and Alexis Ferrante.
Deceased, in addition to her parents, is a brother, Clyde Beppler Jr.

Emily O. Brice, 67, of Monongahela, formerly of New York City, N.Y., died Sunday, July 6, 2008, in Canonsburg General Hospital, following a lengthy illness.
She was born December 29, 1940, in Marianna, the fourth of eight daughters of Mary and Arthur E. Brice.
She moved to New York City when she was a young adult and lived there until August 2007.
She was a very intellectual and spiritual woman who often had an abrasive yet truthful honesty and an outgoing personality. She had the most beautiful green eyes imaginable, and they changed colors according to her mood. She was a truthful and rare diamond, above all gems, and a wonderful mother, sister and a joyful person who loved all people.
Surviving are her loving daughters, Joann Felecia Elliott of New York, N.Y., and Stephanie Avis and husband Darren West of Chicago, Ill.; four sisters, Amy Burgess of Pittsburgh, Gladys Booker of Monongahela, Carol Hatcher of Chesapeake Bay, Va., and Karen Faison of Temecula, Calif.; six grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She also leaves behind a host of friends.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in Bethel AME Church, where the Rev. Kay F. Frazier is pastor, 700 West Main Street, Monongahela, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 12, with Bishop Karl Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora. Elizabeth Savko Burich, 80, of Clarksville, died Wednesday, July 9, 2008, in her home.
She was born July 1, 1928, in Wendel, W.Va., a daughter of Mike and Rose Kobi Savko.
Mrs. Burich was a homemaker who had lived in the Clarksville area since 1940.
She was a member of St. Thomas Roman Catholic Church of Clarksville.
On May 31, 1947, she married James H. Burich, who died January 10, 1984.
Surviving are four children, James M. Burich and wife Mary of Waynesburg, Frank J. Burich and wife Carol of Rices Landing, Mark A. Burich of Rices Landing and Linda M. Zeglen and husband Michael of Rices Landing; six grandchildren, Tonya Burich, Crystal Adams and husband Rick, Candace Savage and husband Michael, Renee Burich, Stephanie Burich and Mateusz Zeglen; three great-grandchildren, Zachary Savage, Shelby Savage and Kyra Jo Savage; a brother, Nick Savko of Columbus, Ohio; and a sister, Mary Souch of Columbus.
Deceased are four brothers, Mike Savko Jr., Charles Savko, George Savko and Andy Savko.

Helen Virginia Benedict Ferczak, 91, of Strabane, formerly of Canonsburg, died Tuesday, July 8, 2008.
She was born June 29, 1917, in Hendersonville, a daughter of Charles and Anastasia Sharak Benedict.
She worked for Mayview State Hospital in dietary for many years.
Mrs. Ferczak was a member of St. Michael's Church of Canonsburg.
She was an excellent baker and enjoyed gardening, crocheting and being with her family and friends.
At 18 years of age, she was a U.S. Navy Civil Service shell inspector during World War II.
Surviving are two daughters, Helen Ann (David) Dix of Washington and Carol Ann (Albert) Cook of Strabane; a daughter-in-law, Deborah Ann Ferczak of Canonsburg; a sister, Anne Nockey of California; seven grandchildren, Eric (Patty) Dix of Washington, Victor (Sara) Dix of Canonsburg, Christopher (Melinda) Daughtery of Muse, Amy (Michael) Resavage of Imperial, Deanna Ferczak of Canonsburg, Derek (Ericka) Ferczak of Monroeville and Dena (Greg) Simms of Cecil; three great-grandchildren, Avrey Mae Ferczak, Madden Kai Ferczak and Bryn Dior Tressor; and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

Joan F. Korbecki Kiwalla, 89, of Lima, formerly of Vestaburg, died Monday, July 7, 2008, in Fair Acres Geriatric Center, following a lengthy illness.
She was born October 17, 1918, in Tower Hill, a daughter of John and Caroline Michno Korbecki.
Mrs. Kiwalla was a former member of St. Michael's Archangel Roman Catholic Church of Fredericktown and Good Shepherd Roman Catholic Parish of Philadelphia.
Her husband, Joseph William Kiwalla died March 17, 1983.
Surviving are a daughter, Carol A. Burns and husband Roger of Norwood; three grandsons, Matthew Lynch of Upper Darby and Joseph M. Burns and Anthony J. Burns, both of Norwood; three great-granddaughters, Alyssa M. Lynch, Taylor A. Lynch and Jessica L. Lynch, all of Upper Darby; a sister, Dorothy Huey of Brownsville; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to her husband, are a daughter, Frances M. Kiwalla; a sister, Leona Gruskowski; and two brothers, Edward and Andrew Korbecki.

Mrs. Pastor was a member of St. Benedict the Abbot Church and worked as a registered nurse.
