WWII Navy vet
was avid golfer
Donald Edward Cundall, 88, of South Minster, died at 1 p.m. Sunday, July 20, 2008, in UPMC-Presbyterian hospital, Pittsburgh. He had been in declining health for the past five years.
He was born April 1, 1920, in Washington, the eldest son of Edward Mandille and Clara Tiny Spence Cundall.
Mr. Cundall was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy on the USS Whitney, USS Reid, USS Cascade and USN Subbase Pearl Harbor in the Pacific Theater.
He was a member of First United Presbyterian Church, serving as an elder for many years, and in later years, he was affilliated with Laboratory Presbyterian Church.
Mr. Cundall was a retired master plumber of Local Union 27, having worked in the construction of numerous hospitals in Pittsburgh.
He was an avid golfer for more than 60 years, having played in Elks League and numerous other leagues, was an active member and past master of Sunset Lodge 623 F&AM, past presiding officer of York Rite Bodies and Syria Shrine and a member of BPOE 776 and Arms Club. He was committed to and extremely involved in all aspects of masonic works.
On November 28, 1942, he married Ann Elizabeth (Betty Ann) Stenhouse, daughter of David Stenhouse and Annie Owens of San Francisco, Calif. She died February 23, 1995.
Surviving are daughters Dona C. Hamilton of Washington and Margaret C. Cundall of Columbia, S.C.; a son, Donald E. Cundall II of Washington; three grandchildren, Heather Leigh, Heath Edward Owens Hamilton and Nathan Stewart Hamilton; and three great-grandchildren, Hannah Leigh Byers, Brandon Hamilton and Kalie Hamilton.
Deceased are a brother, Earl Wilford Cundall, who died Februay 20, 1984; a sister, Rosada Vincent Reedy, who died March 3, 2005; and a grandson, Donald Keith Hamilton, who died October 16, 1965.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 395 East Maiden Street, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 23, followed by interment in Washington Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Presbyterian SeniorCare Benevolent Fund or Shriners Hospital for Children.

TRUMAN DUANE HARVEY
Truman Duane Harvey, 71, of Mt. Morris, died at 10:50 a.m. Sunday, July 20, 2008, in his home, following a lengthy illness.

DOROTHY ANNE LIVELY
Teacher, WWII Navy vet enjoyed traveling
Dorothy "Doe" Anne Lively, 83, of Waynesburg, died Saturday, July 19, 2008, in Golden Living Center, Waynesburg.
She was born August 8, 1924, in Punxsutawney, a daughter of Thomas and Hazel Wayne Good.
Mrs. Lively was a graduate of California High School and California State College.
During World War II, she served in the U.S. Navy in Washington, D.C.
On June 28, 1952, she married Richard G. Lively, who survives.
Mrs. Lively was a teacher in Jefferson-Morgan and Central Greene school districts for more than 25 years.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Waynesburg, where she had served on several committees.
She enjoyed knitting, cooking and playing bridge with her friends. She particularly loved to travel.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a daughter, Barb Hartlaub and husband Robert of Waynesburg; a son, Richard G. Lively Jr. and wife Patty of Easton; two granddaughters, Alissa Hartlaub of Charleston, S.C., and Lindsay Hartlaub of Charleston, W.Va.; a grandson, Tucker Hartlaub of Waynesburg; and a sister, Ruthe Faust of Melbourne, Fla.
A memorial service will be held at the family's convenience. Memorial contributions may be made to Humane Society of Greene County or Hospice Care. JAMES RUSSELL MILLIGAN
Vietnam War Army veteran
James Russell Milligan, 61, of Washington, formerly of New Eagle, died Tuesday, July 8, 2008, in his home.
He was born June 7, 1947, in New Eagle, a son of the late William M. and Thelma A. Hunter Milligan.
Mr. Milligan served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
In his spare time, he enjoyed tinkering with electronics.
Surviving are three daughters, Kim Metzger of Virginia, Kendra Milligan of Greensburg and Heidi Weimer and husband Jim of Blairsville; six grandchildren, Willow, Kolleen, Shealinn, Travis, Tyler and Ashley; and two brothers, Kenneth Milligan of Washington and Richard Milligan of Alaska.
Deceased, in addition to his parents, is a brother, Willliam Milligan.
Friends and family are invited to attend committal services at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, 1158 Morgan Road, Cecil Township. Frye Funeral Home Inc., Monongahela, is in charge of arrangements.

ANGELINE LACAVA SELVAGGI
Wife of Floyd Selvaggi
for 71 years
Angeline (Angie) LaCava Selvaggi, 89, of Zanesville, Ohio, and formerly of Washington, died Sunday, July 20, 2008, in Autumn Health Care, Zanesville.
She was born October 11, 1918, in Houston, a daughter of Felice and Maria Turk LaCava.
Mrs. Selvaggi was a member of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church in Washington for more than 50 years.
On June 30, 1937, she married Floyd Selvaggi, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Adele (Charles) Houston of Zanesville, with whom she made her home for the past six years, and Gloria Santavicca of Boca Raton, Fla.; a sister, Vera Poness of Strabane; six grandchildren, Dr. David Santavicca, Darcie Pritchett, Denise Yocum, Toni Gordon, Sherri Sorrels and Lisa Kenney; and five great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a great-grandson; her stepfather, Philip Peretta; two sisters, Adele (Helen) Arrigoni and Rose Zielinski; a brother, Samuel LaCava; and a son-in-law, Dr. Flavian Santavicca.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to noon, the time of a blessing service, Thursday, July 24, in Dale D. DeAngelo Funeral Home, 1290 Jefferson Avenue, Washington. Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Peters Township.
