UPDATED (4:10 p.m.): Homicide suspect in custody

A daylong manhunt ended shortly before 4 p.m. Thursday for a suspect in a triple murder in Marianna.

Authorities arrested Orlando Maurice "Foo" Guarino, 38, of Marianna, following an exchange of gunfire on West Chestnut Street, near the Canton Township-Washington line. 

Guarino is a suspect in the killings of a Marianna mother and her two young children.The bodies of his estranged wife and their two children were found late Wednesday night in the couple's house at 405 Third St. in Marianna.

Investigators said 11-month-old Orlando and 2-year-old Druex, along with their 22-year-old mother, Ashley, were found dead. Washington County Coroner Tim Warco said all three victims were asphyxiated. Family members called police around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday night after finding the them dead inside the home.

Police had surrounded the Avalon Motor Inn in Somerset Township early this morning and suspected Guarino was inside. However, they left the motel shortly before noon. For the complete story, read tomorrow's Observer-Reporter.
