This year, three county offices – controller, recorder of deeds and sheriff – are on the ballot, as are local offices such as mayor, council, supervisor and school board.
Residents of the Washington area, Claysville area and Bentleyville area will also see contests for district justice on their ballots.
Blaine Township residents are being asked to vote on a local government reorganization known as home rule and choose a study commission.
To qualify to vote, one must be a United States citizen at least one month prior to the primary, a resident of Pennsylvania and his or her election district at least 30 days before the primary, and 18 years of age on or before the day of the primary.
