Teen says she was assaulted This article has been read 2665 times. By Linda Metz, Staff writer An Allegheny County man was ordered to stand trial Wednesday on charges he sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl at a Monongahela home two years ago.
During a preliminary hearing before District Judge Gary Havelka in Washington County Central Court, the girl, now 16, testified that she and her girlfriend ran away from home. She said Grossi and another man picked them up and took them to the Monongahela home. The girl testified that they all went to an upstairs bedroom and watched a movie, and Grossi then assaulted her. Although the girl admitted to repeatedly "blacking out" during the assault, she said she remembered Grossi holding her hands above her head and taking off her clothes. She also remembered him sexually assaulting her. The girl said she told Grossi to stop. The girl said Grossi knew she was only 14. Although she initially thought he was 17, the girl said she later learned he was 23. She said she talked with her girlfriend the next day about what had happened, but her girlfriend told her not to say anything.
The girl said she and her girlfriend left the house and walked to a convenience store. There, she was found by an uncle who took her home. A few days later, after becoming sick at school, the girl told her parents what had happened. Charges were just recently filed against Grossi because police waited for the state police crime laboratory to complete a DNA analysis. The results matched Grossi's DNA, police said. Grossi will remain free on $50,000 bond while awaiting trial.
