ALLENPORT
Burglary attempt: Patrick Plevel, 173 Pine St., Allenport, told state police Friday night that a burglar tried to enter his home by rattling door handles and kicking doors. The burglar cracked a kitchen window and ripped the kitchen screen door.

Harassment charges: Chante Davis, 23, and Patrick Thursday, both of 908 Second St., Apt. 2, and Brandy Delfine, 28, and Toddy Young, both of 908 Second St., Apt. 1, each will be charged with harassment in connection with an argument Saturday, Canonsburg police said.
CANTON TOWNSHIP
Driver injured: James Clemens, 23, of Washington, was slightly injured Saturday night when his car was hit on the driver's side by a car driven by Raymond Fisher, 20, of Washington, state police said.
Police said Fisher, who was coming off the I-70 west Jessop Place exit ramp, failed to stop and hit Clemens' car, which was going south on Sheffield Street.
Clemens was taken to Washington Hospital for treatment. Fisher will be cited for a traffic violation, police said.
Youth arrested: State police arrested an unidentified juvenile on Sheffield Street about 3:30 p.m. Monday for possession of a controlled substance. Charges are pending, police said.
FALLOWFIELD TOWNSHIP
Chain stolen: A thief stole a stainless-steel chain across the parking lot entrance to King of the Hill restaurant, Fallowfield, Sunday, state police said.
CHARTIERS TOWNSHIP
Machines entered: Chartiers police said two soft-drink machines were broken into Monday at Washington County Fairgrounds and Exposition Center.
LUZERNE TOWNSHIP
Weapons violation: Edward Allen Watson of West Brownsville was arrested Saturday by state police during an incident at 570 Hopewell Road, Luzerne, Fayette County. Police charged him with carrying a firearm without a license and having a firearm in his vehicle without a license. He was arraigned before District Judge Jesse Cramer.
NORTH FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP
Disorderly charge: John Michael Mazzaferri, 56, of 131 First St., Marianna, was charged by North Franklin police with criminal mischief and disorderly conduct after allegedly throwing plants and garbage cans at patrons at Washington Crown Center Wednesday. He also allegedly threatened police Superintendent Richard Horner. Mazzaferri reportedly told police that the plants were calling him names.
Teen faces charges: A 16-year-old West Finley girl was charged with disorderly conduct and harassment after punching a 16-year-old Washington girl in a restroom at Washington Crown Center Friday, North Franklin police said. The victim had been waiting for a friend when she was attacked.
Mischief charge: Darnell K. Medlen, 19, 253 Roosevelt St., North Franklin, was charged by North Franklin police with criminal mischief Thursday after allegedly punching Michael T. Sparks, 18, 10 Elkie Drive, Canton Township, in the face during a confrontation at Dots, Washington Crown Center.
Trespass charges: Tammy Medlen, 45, and Robert Medlen, 18, both of 821 Cleveland Road, North Franklin, and Joshua Shrader, 19, of 691 Cleveland Road, were charged with criminal trespass for allegedly trying to steal scrap metal Saturday from TJ's Heating and Cooling, 1610 Park Ave.
Later Saturday, North Franklin police were called back to TJ's when $200 in aluminum and copper was stolen.
DUI, other charges: Charles W. Kaufman III, 47, 500 Penn Ave., Washington, was arrested by North Franklin police after they reportedly clocked him speeding on West Chestnut Street at Ellwood Park early Saturday.
Police said they found eight open cans of beer in the car, and Kaufman refused to submit to a blood-alcohol test, telling police that he'd never be eligible for a license. Police said he is a habitual offender.
Police took him home, and, they said, he tried to leave in another vehicle. He then allegedly picked up a stamp bag of suspected heroin that was in the car and gave it to police before running away. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under suspension, speeding and having open containers of alcohol.
DUI, weapons charges: Donald S. Knupp, 20, 246 E. Prospect St., Washington, was arrested Thursday by North Franklin police after officers received a complaint that he was tailgating his former girlfriend on West Chestnut Street.
Police determined he had been drinking. They also found a loaded handgun in the car.
Knupp was put in Washington County Jail on a probation detainer. He will be charged with driving under suspension, driving under the influence of alcohol, carrying a firearm without a license, having a firearm with an altered serial number and underage person not to possess a firearm.
NORTH STRABANE TOWNSHIP
Assault charge: Stacey Carson Forrest, 40, 107 Latimore Court, Venetia, will be charged by North Strabane police with terroristic threats, simple assault and public drunkenness after allegedly threatening his brother and sister as they drove through the township Friday afternoon.
REDSTONE TOWNSHIP
Drug, forgery charges: Joshua T. Gillingham, 25, of Finleyville, was arrested Saturday on charges of possession of a controlled substance and forgery after allegedly forging a prescription for Roxicodone. He was apprehended by state police when he went to pick up the prescription at Rite Aid, Redstone, Fayette County.
SOUTH STRABANE TOWNSHIP
Theft charge: Angela Moschell, 18, 402 Broad St., Washington, was charged by South Strabane police with retail theft Friday after she allegedly stole more than $850 in electronic equipment from Wal-Mart, Trinity Point. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Driver injured: Kylie Gavlik, 30, 1849 Jefferson Ave., Canton Township, was injured Thursday night when her vehicle hit a hillside and a fence in the 700 block of Berry Road, South Strabane police said. She was taken to Washington Hospital for treatment.
Drug charges: Marc R. Fernandez, 39, 84 W. Wheeling St., Washington, was charged Monday with possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia in connection with a Feb. 5 traffic stop at North and Murtland avenues. South Strabane placed him in Washington County Jail on a warrant at the time.
Charges filed: Jessica Marie Boord of Dunbar, Fayette County, was charged Monday by South Strabane police with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and not having a license plate on her vehicle in connection with a Jan. 28 traffic stop on North Avenue at Motel 6 Drive.
WASHINGTON
Charged with threats: John Wheeler, 47, 141 Jollick Manor, was charged by Washington police with terroristic threats, harassment and disorderly conduct after allegedly making threatening calls to Linda Wade of Fayette Street on Sunday. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge J. Albert Spence.
Break-in attempt: Washington police said an attempt was made Friday to break into Chicken Charlies, 501 Jefferson Ave.
Pipe stolen: Albert Rockey of Washington told Washington police Friday that 20 feet of copper pipe was stolen from a home at 890 Fayette St.
Disorderly charge: Awilda Irizarry, 24, no address available, was charged by Washington police with disorderly conduct after causing a disturbance Saturday in the 10 block of North Main Street. Police said she refused to listen to orders to stop.
Unauthorized use: Brian Robison of Tarentum will be charged by Washington police with unauthorized use of a vehicle and driving under suspension after failing to return a vehicle owned by Deena Frohnhofer of Amwell Township on Friday.
Purse, phone stolen: Ashley Phelps of Pittsburgh told Washington police Sunday that her Coach purse along with a cellular telephone and credit cards were stolen while she was at VIP, 17 N. Main St.
Window broken: Brandi Horner of McDonald told Washington police Sunday that the rear window of her vehicle was broken while it was parked outside 466 W. Chestnut St.
Drug charges: Frank Remaley, 59, 530 W. Chestnut St., Washington, will be charged with possession of drug paraphernalia; Lisa Keller, 47, 746 Broad St., Washington, will be charged with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia; and Andre Cromwell, 27, of Pittsburgh, will be charged with possession of cocaine and paraphernalia, Washington police said. Police went to Remaley's home to investigate a report of drug sales Sunday.
