Weather causes postponements

Tuesday's inclement weather caused a number of postponements to the area's sports activities.

The WPIAL basketball playoffs pairings meeting was postponed and will take place tonight in Green Tree. The brackets for the WPIAL playoffs will be released at the meeting.

The Meadows cancelled harness racing Tuesday night.


The WPIAL Team Rifle Championship was moved to Friday at the Dormont-Mt. Lebanon Sportsmen's Club.

Waynesburg College switched its men's and women's basketball games against Thomas More, which were originally scheduled for tonight, to Thursday. The women's game begins 5:30 p.m., followed by the men.
