The five people who died and seven others who were injured in a 9:45 a.m. crash at Route 136 and Brownlee Road in Somerset Township were identified.

All the dead were in the large transport van, which was occupied by nine residents and two workers from the Mental Health Association of Washington County group home at Bentleyville. Six other people were either flown by medical helicopter to Pittsburgh area hospitals or taken to local hospitals, where their injuries ranged from minor to severe, police said. Others injured were identified as Duane Bell, 48, Norma Tellman, 52, Lawrence Corey, 54, Kim Sickels, 58, and Sandra Mrock, 51, but no additional information was available at press time.
