This article has been read 697 times.

A West Finley Township man was injured Tuesday afternoon when the all-terrain vehicle he was driving flipped over backward while he was attempting to climb a steep slope on private property off High Point Road in East Finley Township.

State police said Michael Anthony Felt, believed to be 20 years old, of West Finley, sustained a hip injury in the 4:20 p.m. accident in what was described as a wooded area of East Finley.

Morris Township volunteer firemen and Ambulance & Chair personnel from Washington moved the injured man to a landing zone nearby from which a medical helicopter evacuated him to UPMC-Presbyterian hospital, Pittsburgh, for treatment. A state police report on the accident described Felt's injuries as not life-threatening.

UPMC-Presbyterian declined to comment on Felt's condition.
