Police beat CANTON TOWNSHIP One-car crash: J. Daniel Kelley, 67, of Washington, lost control of his car Wednesday morning when he went into diabetic shock while driving on Route 40 near West Point Lake, state police said. Kelley's vehicle crossed into the oncoming lane and then veered into a parking lot before striking a parked vehicle. He was treated at Washington Hospital. BENTLEYVILLE Two charged: Michael Dojer, 36, of Livonia, N.Y., and Mark Daley, 41, of Bellcamp, Md., were charged by state police with disorderly conduct after a confrontation Tuesday afternoon at Pilot Truck Stop, Bentleyville. Driver hurt: Monique Archambault, 17, of Ealy Road, West Alexander, was slightly injured Wednesday morning when her car hit a parked car and utility pole in the 300 block of Lake Road, Donegal police said. She was treated at the scene. Dirt bike stolen: Robert Westfall of 122 Buck Run Road told Donegal police Thursday that his 2006 Yamaha dirt bike was stolen from his home. The license is YZF-450F. Window broken: Vandals broke the rear window of a 2001 Honda parked Friday in the lot of Three Rivers Petroleum, 24 Donegal Ave., Donegal police said.
Two-vehicle crash: Margaret Wood, 83, of West Alexander, and Doris Puskarich, 63, of Washington, were slightly injured when their vehicles collided Sunday on Route 40 at Liberty Road. Donegal police said Wood pulled from Liberty into the path of the vehicle driven by Puskarich. Wood's vehicle then hit two parked vehicles in the lot at Liberty Street Cafe. LONG BRANCH Forced off road: Jason Timothy Oliver of Monessen told Southwest Regional police Tuesday afternoon that a red Chevrolet Cavalier or Pontiac Sunfire with a California University of Pennsylvania sticker forced him off Dally Road and into a mailbox. The side mirror of his vehicle was destroyed, and the mailbox at the home of Barb Hess, 2 Grandee Drive, was knocked from the post. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-929-8484. PETERS TOWNSHIP Bicycle stolen: A white, BMX-style Eastern bicycle valued at $400 was reported stolen Tuesday from a rack at the Community Recreation Center in Peterswood Park. Police said the bike was not locked, and it was in the rack only a short time while the 13-year-old owner from Mt. Lebanon went inside the center to use the restroom at 4 p.m. Credit card theft: A credit card owned by a Venetia resident was reported stolen Tuesday after it was used to make unauthorized purchases totaling $217 at two gasoline station-convenience stores and two restaurants in Canonsburg and Washington.
SOUTH FAYETTE TOWNSHIP Gun threat: Jayme Sneith, 38, of 101 Main St., Bentleyville, was charged with making a terroristic threat and reckless endangerment Monday in the South Fayette Township village of Cuddy. Township police said the incident occurred at 7 p.m. on Allegheny Avenue, where a 34-year-old man got into a dispute with Sneith over a vehicle that sped into the parking lot of an apartment building that Sneith owns. Sneith was arraigned in night court and held for a few hours in Allegheny County Jail before being released. SOUTH STRABANE TOWNSHIP Window broken: Vandals broke a window at the concession stand at 84 Ballfields, Roupe Road, Monday, South Strabane police said. Teen charged: A 16-year-old South Strabane boy was charged with possession of marijuana after it was found in his home Monday, South Strabane police said. The boy's father called police because the boy refused to go to school. WASHINGTON Woman assaulted: Charles Reihner, 44, of Washington, was charged with simple assault for allegedly slamming Cynthia Slawinsky's fingers in a door at his residence about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, city police stated in court records. Reihner was released on unsecured bond set by District Justice J. Albert Spence. |
