A man wanted in connection with a multi-municipality car chase Thursday afternoon was arrested at a party late Sunday, state police said.

David Woodhouse Jr., 27, whose last known address is 75 W. Katherine Ave., was apprehended outside 15 Maple Lane, Somerset Township, at 11 p.m., police said.

When state police attempted to arrest Woodhouse at the party, he fled on foot and ran around the house while being chased by troopers. When Woodhouse rounded the corner of the house, he met another trooper who ordered him to the ground. Police said Woodhouse was taken into custody without incident.

He was charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct and was placed in Washington County Jail on warrants from Washington County Domestic Relations, Washington County and Washington County Probation. Woodhouse is facing numerous other charges from several municipalities involving Thursday's chase and another chase Feb. 29.

The chase Thursday began in Washington and ended on Interstate 70 near Claysville, where police lost sight of the vehicle. The chase began about 10 a.m. when Washington County deputy sheriffs saw Woodhouse near his house. Knowing he was wanted on several warrants, deputies began the pursuit. Some of the warrants involve charges of aggravated assault and reckless endangerment.

Involved were state police and police from the City of Washington and Donegal and South Strabane townships.

Woodhouse's abandoned car was found Thursday afternoon in Elrama.

Additionally, Woodhouse is wanted for allegedly violating a protection-from-abuse order and on charges he attempted to hit a North Strabane Township police officer during a Feb. 29 police chase.

During that chase, city police attempted to stop Woodhouse after Michelle Harvey reported he was on his way to her home. Harvey had a PFA order against Woodhouse.

After fleeing from city police, Woodhouse allegedly tried to strike North Strabane Township Sgt. David Richards with his car when Richards attempted to apprehend Woodhouse at a gasoline station on Route 519.

Woodhouse remains in jail on the bench warrants. No bond was set as he was not arraigned on any of the charges.
