Power plant meeting planned
This article has been read 784 times.
Residents in North Fayette Township are organizing a meeting this month to answer questions about the proposed power plant in Robinson Township, Washington County.
Jen Iriti of the citizens' group Action for Change Today said the meeting will be held at 7 p.m. June 23 at Celebrations & More restaurant, 8110 Steubenville Pike, Imperial.
Iriti, of North Fayette, said the group has invited local environmentalist Lisa Grave-Marcucci and representatives from Robinson Power Co., which is proposing to build the waste coal-fired power plant.
"Many people (in North Fayette) didn't know anything about it," Iriti said. "It's clear our community didn't have a discourse or discussion about it."
