Information sought in minibike theft This article has been read 1116 times. By Kathie O. Warco, Staff writer Donegal Township police are looking for the man who broke into a motorcycle dealership just after closing Thursday.
"I was concerned because I knew the store employees would be closing up about 8 p.m., so I had the duty officer stop by," Ward said. "He arrived about 7:55 p.m. and the car was gone." After checking the store and employees, the officer responded to another call in Claysville. "Then he gets a cell phone call about a burglary in progress at Xtreme," Ward said. "He arrives and finds that the main doors have been broken. A minibike was stolen." Store surveillance tape indicated the burglar was in the store for just 36 seconds to take the bike. Ward said that after examining the tape, it appears the thief had been in the store about 7:20 p.m. looking at the minibike.
"He also looked at different things that we were able to get prints from," Ward said. The thief is black, about 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighs 160 pounds, is clean shaven and bald and was wearing jeans, a T-shirt and long coat. He was driving a smaller, light blue, four-door Ford vehicle. Anyone with information is asked to call township police at 724-663-5800.
