High-stakes gambling

When Pennsylvania finally approved the use of slot machines here, neighboring state West Virginia's legislature upped the ante by approving table games at its casinos.

Now, Pennsylvania's governor could be dealt a bill allowing table games. If that bill were to become law, West Virginia might approve riverboat gambling. If our state - to continue the poker analogy - were to see that and raise, we would also have riverboat gambling.

How then would our rival state react? To fold or call?

They'd probably go completely Vegas and bring in Wayne Newton for shows and legalize prostitution. And Pennsylvania would ...
