A dispute between neighbors in New Eagle returned to Washington County Court Thursday, this time with one of the neighbors ending up in jail.

Sherry Keyock, 27, of 461 Second St., was ordered to spend 30 days in jail for violating a previous order by Judge Paul Pozonsky.

In May, Keyock and her neighbor, James Warren Jr. of 463 Second St., pleaded guilty to summary disorderly conduct charges.

Warren was given credit for the time he had spent in jail in connection with the case. Keyock was given a 30-day suspended sentence as long as she paid court costs and avoided further conflict with Warren.

On Thursday, Keyock was summoned to again appear before Pozonsky after she was cited by Monongahela police for making false reports against Warren on June 9.

According to police Chief Brian Tempest, a city officer received a call to go to Keyock's residence about 5:30 p.m. There, the Keyocks told the officer that Warren came outside and used obscene language toward Sherry Keyock.

Tempest said that the report was later to be found false, and charges were filed against Keyock.

In addition, Warren testified before the judge that Keyock had harassed him and his family on a couple of other occasions since their court appearance a month ago. Keyock denied Warren's accusations.

When questioned about the ongoing feud, Tempest said he believes "someone is going to be seriously hurt, if not killed, in this situation if something's not done."

Pozonsky agreed with Tempest and again warned all parties to behave themselves.

"They're on notice, and they've been on notice," the judge said.

Following the hearing, Keyock was cuffed and escorted by deputy sheriffs to the county jail to serve her 30-day sentence.
