Huffman - McCabe

An outdoor ceremony at the home of the groom's parents in Pine Bank was the setting for the wedding of Cristina Opal McCabe and Jay Matthew Huffman, who were united in marriage at 4:30 p.m. on October 25, 2008, with the Rev. Ben Williamson, uncle of the groom, officiating.

Her parents are James and Karen McCabe of Ladson, S.C. Her grandparents are Jim and Sandy McCabe of Kingwood, W.Va., Tom and Bonnie Snyder of Morgantown, W.Va., and John and Pam Hiser of Westover, W.Va.

Parents of the bridegroom are Barry and Susan Huffman of Pine Bank. His grandparents are Mary Ruth Huffman of Pine Bank, the late Jacob C. Huffman, Edward Williamson of Waynesburg and the late Sara S. Williamson.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Matron of honor was Sharon Fox of Defiance, Ohio. Bridesmaids were Dana Poston of Goose Creek, S.C., Tiffany Bradshaw of Goose Creek, Emily Archer of Charlotte, N.C., and Samantha McCabe of Morgantown, cousin of the bride. Flower girl was cousin of the bride, Mara Rose Stalnaker of Fairmont, W.Va.

The groom's brother, Zack Huffman of Morgantown, served as best man. Groomsmen were Jimmy Pierce of Sycamore, Zach Goodwin of Pittsburgh, Adam Hamilton of Fairmont and Chris Lang of Avella. Chase Biel of Arvada, Colo., cousin of the groom, was ring bearer.

A reception was held at Brookehaven reception hall, Waynesburg.

The new Mrs. Huffman is a 2008 graduate of West Virginia University, where she earned a master's degree in secondary social studies. She is a teacher for Monongalia County Schools.

Her husband is a 2001 graduate of West Greene High School and a 2005 graduate of West Virginia University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in health and physical education. He is a teacher for Monongalia County Schools.

The newlyweds took a honeymoon trip to the Great Smokey Mountains and make their home in Westover, W.Va.
