BLAINE TOWNSHIP

Purse stolen: Melissa Oergel of West Alexander told state police Saturday that a thief entered her unlocked vehicle while it was parked at the American Legion, 84 Main St., Blaine, and stole her purse.

Shotgun stolen: Daniel W. Smith of 202 Bench Ave., Canton, told state police Saturday that a thief entered an unlocked window at his home and stole his Rossi 20-gauge shotgun.

MORRIS TOWNSHIP

Assault charge: Tony Osborne, 18, of Prosperity, faces a charge of simple assault after allegedly assaulting a juvenile at Southwood Residential Treatment facility, 110 Old Concord Road, Morris, Saturday night.

State police said Osborne also fought with staff personnel who tried to restrain him. Police are continuing their investigation.

MT. PLEASANT TOWNSHIP

Driver injured: Nicole Spinella, 23, of McDonald, was slightly injured in a one-vehicle crash about 10:50 a.m. Sunday on Route 18, Mt. Pleasant.

State police said she was driving south when her vehicle went off the road and hit a tree.

NORTH CHARLEROI

Hit-and-run: State police are looking for the driver of a vehicle that hit a car early Tuesday on Orange Street near Isabella Street, North Charleroi, and then fled. Anyone with information is asked to call state police in Belle Vernon at 724-929-6262.

NORTH STRABANE TOWNSHIP

Car rolls over: Erika Sitkowski, 24, of Monessen, was seriously injured Saturday afternoon in a one-car crash on Interstate 79 between the Houston and Canonsburg exits, North Strabane.

State police said Sitkowski reached down for her purse and her car went off the road and into the median and rolled over several times.

Sitkowski was flown to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, where she was treated and released. She will be cited for failure to drive on road lanes for traffic, police said.

UNION TOWNSHIP

Vehicle damaged: Darlene Sellers of Downer Street, Elrama, told state police Friday that vandals damaged her vehicle with rocks.
