CANONSBURG

Driver charged: A charge of driving under the influence of alcohol was filed against Randy Lee Wolfe, 40, of 255 N. Central Ave., Canonsburg, in connection with a crash last week in a parking lot on East Pike Street. Police said his blood-alcohol content was almost double the 0.08 percent limit.

CANTON TOWNSHIP

Assault arrest: John R. Dingle, 37, of 20 Hilltop Lane, Canton, was arrested by state police early Tuesday on charges of simple assault and harassment. He is accused of grabbing Dawn Allison in the front yard of her home at 27401/2 Jefferson Ave., Canton, hitting her in the face and pushing her to the ground. He told police that she damaged his cellular telephone.

Dingle was arraigned before District Judge Valarie Costanzo and placed in Washington County Jail on $5,000 bond.

CHARTIERS TOWNSHIP

Warrant arrest: Zachary Mingo, 21, of 11 Strabane Ave., Strabane, was picked up on a warrant early Tuesday by Chartiers police after he was found sleeping in a car on Paxton Farm Road. Mingo was wanted on theft and criminal mischief charges.

COKEBURG

Boys face charges: Two boys face charges of harassment and disorderly conduct after allegedly punching and kicking another boy after they were unable to steal foot pegs from the victim's bicycle while they were at Cokeburg Park, Cokeburg, about 11 p.m. Monday, state police said.

MORRIS TOWNSHIP

Charged in assault: Shawn R. Harden, 26, of 257 Minton Run Road, Morris, was arrested Tuesday by state police on charges of simple assault, harassment, criminal mischief and driving under suspension.

Harden is accused of assaulting his sister, Athena F. Harden, after a confrontation at their home early Friday. She told police he tried to leave the home but she felt he was too intoxicated to drive so she took the keys and threw them, making him angry. He grabbed her and started choking her.

He broke a window and got into an altercation with Stanley Marchetti, breaking a porch railing before leaving on an all-terrain vehicle.

Harden was arraigned before Senior District Judge Jay Dutton and placed in Washington County Jail on $10,000 bond.

NORTH STRABANE TOWNSHIP

Theft from home: Melissa Brooks of 1196 Lindenvue Drive told North Strabane police Monday that a digital camera, maternity shirt and soap dispenser were stolen from her home June 2. The delay in the report was so the family could check with a cleaning service.

PETERS TOWNSHIP

Chair stolen: A chair valued at $150 was stolen from a rear outdoor area at a residence in the 200 block of Bayberry Court, McMurray, township police said. The theft was reported at 9:19 a.m. Tuesday.

SOUTH STRABANE TOWNSHIP

Charged in stop: Joshua C. Beatty, 18, of 232 E. Hallam Ave., Washington, will be charged by South Strabane police with possession of paraphernalia and marijuana stemming from a traffic stop Saturday night on Route 19.

WASHINGTON

PFA violation: Aaron Sapp, 18, of 155 E. Katherine Ave., Washington, was arrested Monday on a warrant for allegedly violating a protection-from-abuse order last week.

He is accused of going to McDonald's, 999 Jefferson Ave., where his former girlfriend works and refusing to leave. He also allegedly had a third party contact her in violation of the order.

Sapp was arraigned before District Judge Valarie Costanzo and placed in Washington County Jail on $2,500 bond.

Boy missing: Shaquane Yarbrough, 14, of 279 Locust Ave., was reported missing by his mother to Washington police Monday. He is black, weighs 140 pounds and is 5 feet 5 inches.

Warrant arrest: Brandon E. Cherry, 23, of Pittsburgh, was charged with giving Washington police a false name during a traffic stop early Tuesday on Tyler Avenue near Jefferson Avenue.

Police said he veered off the road and nearly crashed. He first told police his name was George Kelly and that he was from Virginia. He later admitted his correct name. Police learned he is wanted in Allegheny County on a bench warrant and took him into custody. He was placed in Washington County Jail.

Home break-in: Diana McCoy of 15 N. Main St. told Washington police Monday that a burglar kicked in the front door of her apartment and stole $150, an XBox 360 and 170 DVDs.
