BENTLEYVILLE

Disorderly charge: Several people will be charged by state police with disorderly conduct stemming from a disturbance Friday at Dorazio's, Bentleyville. Facing charges are Russell Bercosky, 18, of Marianna, Jake Wicks, 18, of Fredericktown, a 17-year-old Marianna boy and a 15-year-old boy and 16-year-old boy, both of Bentleyville.

Harassment charge: Anthony Paul Garofalo, 30, of Belle Vernon, was charged with harassment by California police after allegedly making harassing phone calls Saturday.

Drug charges: Anthony William Lutz, 20, of Pittsburgh, was charged Monday by California police with possession of a small amount of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia and underage drinking stemming from an April 24 traffic stop on Sixth Street.

Faces charges: Aryn Nicole Roofner, 20, of Valencia, Butler County, was charged Monday by California police with possession of drug paraphernalia, underage drinking and false identification to police stemming from an April 11 traffic stop on Park Street.

CANONSBURG

Tires slashed: Donald Wright of 529 McGovern Ave., Chartiers Township, told Canonsburg police Monday that three tires on his vehicle were slashed and the vehicle was scratched while it was parked at West Pike Bowl, West Pike Street.

Wallet stolen: Roxanne Rodriguez of 20 W. College St., Canonsburg, told Canonsburg police Sunday that her wallet was stolen while she was at 7-Eleven, West Pike Street.

Theft from porch: Elizabeth Mikush of 722 Giffin Ave. told Canonsburg police Saturday that a British flag and weed trimmer, among other items, were stolen from her porch.

Vandalism reported: Vandals damaged items outside Little Joe's Market and Carmen's Restaurant, 117 N. Jefferson Ave., Saturday, Canonsburg police said. A wrought-iron bench was damaged and two chairs overturned outside the restaurant. A display table and plant stands outside the market were overturned.

CANTON TOWNSHIP

Windshield damaged: Robert Connor Jr. of Washington told state police Sunday that the windshield of his vehicle was damaged while it was parked in front of 72 Hawkins St., Canton.

CHARLEROI

Jailed in assault: Aaron Astle, 37, of 726 Lincoln Ave., Charleroi, was charged by Charleroi police with aggravated assault and simple assault after allegedly punching and kicking Dana Gorondy during a confrontation at their home Sunday. He also cut her hair and scalp with scissors and hit her over the head with an unknown object, police said.

He was arraigned via video before District Judge Gary Havelka and placed in Washington County Jail on $20,000 bond.

CHARTIERS TOWNSHIP

Theft, trespass charges: Maxwell T. Johnson, 20, of 208 N. Haft St., Houston, and Kayla Varner, 21, of 42 Maple St., Muse, face charges of theft and criminal trespass after allegedly stealing flares and two rolls of wire from Arden Salvage. They were seen late Sunday walking along Arden Road with the flares, township police said. Johnson claimed the items fell out of his truck, but the salvage yard owner was able to identify them, police said. The wire was hidden on the side of the road.

FALLOWFIELD TOWNSHIP

Assault arrest: Alan Scott Gardner, 48, of 3460 Route 136, Monongahela, was arrested Friday night by Fallowfield police after allegedly hitting Gina Nudo to the floor during a confrontation at their home and grabbing her by the hair. He also is accused of shutting her leg in the door and pushing Brenda Applegate.

Gardner was arraigned by District Judge Gary Havelka on charges of simple assault and harassment. He was placed in Washington County Jail on $5,000 bond.

FINLEYVILLE

Fight investigated: Monongahela police are investigating a fight inside Badlands, 3540 Washington Ave.

Police initially were called about 9 p.m. Saturday to investigate shots being fired. When police arrived, they learned that someone had been hit with a bar stool. Charges are pending.

GREENE COUNTY

Disorderly conduct charge: State police accused Dorothy Daugherty, 45, of Washington, of disorderly conduct after she allegedly stood with a board outside a residence in Nineveh, Morris Township, Greene County, and threatened to damage vehicles at 1:10 a.m. Sunday.

MONONGAHELA

Jailed in assault: Gary R. Prosser, 30, of 498 Cuff Alley, Monongahela, was arrested Friday by Monongahela police after allegedly throwing Alysia Prosser into a coffee table and throwing a 32-inch television at her during an incident at their home.

Prosser was arraigned before District Judge Gary Havelka on charges of simple assault, reckless endangerment, disorderly conduct, harassment and public drunkenness. He was placed in Washington County Jail on $5,000 bond.

False reports charge: Joan Tate, 55, of McKeesport, was charged Monday by Monongahela police with making false reports to law enforcement stemming from an incident Saturday afternoon in the 600 block of Marne Avenue. Tate told police that shots were being fired by a person who has a felony record. Police investigated and found that not to be true. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Mark Wilson.

MORRIS TOWNSHIP

Mischief charge: A 15-year-old boy who resides at Southwood Juvenile Center, 110 Old Concord Road, Morris, will be charged by state police with criminal mischief after allegedly punching out a window at the center Sunday.

NEW EAGLE

Assault arrest: Edward James Burzynski, 22, of 172 Main St., New Eagle, was arrested Sunday by Monongahela police on charges of simple assault, false imprisonment, reckless endangerment, harassment and disorderly conduct stemming from an incident at their home.

He is accused of grabbing Stacy Rebecca Killian's wrist and refusing to let her leave their bedroom. He also pushed her to the bed and bit her wrist, police said.

Burzynski was arraigned via video by District Judge Gary Havelka and placed in Washington County Jail on $5,000 bond.

NORTH STRABANE TOWNSHIP

Theft from vehicles: Sue and Ken Jones of 267 Meadowview Drive told North Strabane police Thursday that a mini iPod, boom box radio, sunglasses and $40 were stolen from their vehicles. Cynthia Peitzman of 153 Meadowview reported Thursday that an iPod and DVD player were stolen from her unlocked vehicle.

Helicopter vandalized: North Strabane police are investigating vandalism to a Lifeflight helicopter Saturday at the Canonsburg General Hospital helipad. Police said the pilot found two yellow and blue Sunoco stickers on the sides of the chopper. While there was no real damage, the pilot completed a thorough inspection out of concern for unseen damage.

Van found: A van reported stolen to Peters Township police was found Saturday in a wooded area off Thomas-Eighty Four Road, North Strabane police said.

Driver injured: Lanny Kasten of Pittsburgh was injured in a two-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon on Route 19 south at Linden Road.

North Strabane police said Kasten had stopped behind a vehicle making a left turn when he was hit from behind by a car driven by Michael Reeves, 49, of 175 Dodd Drive, South Strabane Township. Kasten was taken to Canonsburg General Hospital for injuries.

PETERS TOWNSHIP

One injured: A woman was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital following a two-car accident at 6:21 p.m. Friday, township police said.

Louise Banks, 59, of 4730 Norma Drive, Pleasant Hills, was flown to UPMC-Mercy hospital.

Police said Banks was traveling west in the 900 block of East McMurray Road near Hays Road when her car crossed the center line and struck an eastbound car driven by Alexander Elderkin, 20, of 191 Delaware Trail, Venetia. The report did not indicate that Elderkin was injured.

SMITH TOWNSHIP

Charged with assault: Rocklin Powell, 57, no known address, was arrested Friday by Smith police after he allegedly assaulted a police officer trying to take him into custody on several charges.

Police were checking a disabled vehicle on Main Street Extension when they found Powell behind the wheel. Inside the vehicle was an open case of beer, police said. When Officer Amber Price asked Powell to get out, he allegedly hit her in the chest. He refused to submit to a blood-alcohol test, police said.

Powell was arraigned before District Judge Gary Havelka on charges of aggravated assault, terroristic threats, public drunkenness, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. He was placed in Washington County Jail on $2,500 bond.

SOUTH STRABANE TOWNSHIP

Jailed in theft: Alexi R. Scott, 20, of 718 W. Pike St., Houston, was arrested Friday night by South Strabane police after she allegedly stole an item from a shopping cart at Wal-Mart, Trinity Point.

She reportedly struggled with South Strabane police as they took her into custody.

Scott was arraigned via video before District Judge Gary Havelka on charges of retail theft, resisting arrest and harassment. She was placed in Washington County Jail on $2,500 bond.

False reports: Christopher Amon, 30, of 147 Highland Ave., Claysville, was charged Friday by South Strabane police with making false reports, giving false identification, driving under suspension and having no registration or insurance.

He was stopped by police on Feb. 1 and allegedly gave police his brother's name. The brother appeared at a hearing Thursday and told police that his brother has given his name in the past. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Theft from purse: Jennifer Horner of Washington told South Strabane police that a cellular telephone, Access card, $250 and other cards were stolen from her purse, which was in her car in the parking lot of Trinity Point Sunday.

Assault charges: Amanda Nicholls, 29, of Circle Street, Clarksville, and Jennifer Wood, 25, of 96 Fifth St., Marianna, will be charged by South Strabane police with simple assault after allegedly assaulting Randa Patterson, 22, of Franklin Avenue, Canonsburg, Friday.

Patterson was assaulted in the lot of the Sunoco, Murtland Avenue. Police said Wood was angry after learning Patterson was seeing her estranged boyfriend. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

WASHINGTON

Disorderly charges: Lucille White, 45, of 556 W. Chestnut St., and Andrew White, 36, of 261 Locust Ave., both of Washington, were charged with disorderly conduct by Washington police after an incident Friday in the 500 block West Chestnut. She is accused of hitting him and taking his beer. He allegedly hit her.

DUI charge: John E. Reese, 61, of 860 E. Maiden St., Washington, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after almost hitting a Washington police cruiser head-on near the intersection of East Maiden Street and South Wade Avenue Friday night.

The driver of the police car swerved, almost hitting a concrete barrier, to avoid a crash. Reese's blood-alcohol content was more than double the 0.08 percent limit presumed for intoxication.

Disorderly charge: Carl Brown Jr., 42, of 84 W. Wheeling St., Washington, was charged with disorderly conduct Saturday after knocking items from a display to the floor at Auto Supermarket, 57 E. Chestnut St., Washington police said.

Window damaged: Eva Thompson of Claysville told Washington police Sunday that vandals damaged a window in her van while it was parked at Citizens Library, South College Street.

Assault charge: Nathaniel Cobaugh, 28, of 354 Burton Ave., Washington, was charged by Washington police with simple assault after allegedly hitting Marni Pettigrew in the eye during a confrontation at their home Sunday. He was arraigned via video before District Judge Gary Havelka and placed in Washington County Jail on $1,000 bond.
