Attorney disputes man's involvement in fight
The attorney for a Washington man accused of murdering a man by kicking him the head said Wednesday that he has witnesses to dispute the criminal allegations.
"According to my investigation, my client was not involved in the fight," said attorney Sam Pangburn following the formal arraignment of Tyrone Henry Colvin-Broughton, 19, of Washington, before Washington County President Judge Debbie O'Dell Seneca.

Colvin-Broughton and his father, Henry Lee Colvin, 45, are charged with homicide, aggravated assault and simple assault in the beating death of 36-year-old Theodore Wilkins outside the father and son's home at 830 Chartiers St. on April 22.
Wilkins died of head injuries about 24 hours after the confrontation that allegedly occurred over a DVD. He was found unresponsive at a friend's home at 1145 W. Chestnut St., Canton Township.
Wilkins was taken to Washington Hospital, where he was pronounced dead about 90 minutes later. Wilkins had a fractured skull and rib injuries.
According to Pangburn, three of Colvin-Broughton's family members who witnessed the fight with Wilkins will testify that the younger man never struck Wilkins' head.
Meanwhile, Assistant District Attorney Mike Lucas said the prosecution does not intend to seek the death penalty in the case.
During Wednesday's proceeding, Pangburn also asked the judge to permit his client to be lodged at the county jail for several days so that he could meet with him, and Colvin-Broughton could visit with his family.
Colvin-Broughton was being held in Allegheny County Jail to keep him separated from his father.
Colvin-Broughton also is scheduled to be transferred to the State Correctional Institution in Camp Hill for classification and placement for a sentence he received in a separate criminal case.
The judge agreed to have Colvin-Broughton remain at the county jail until Monday. It will be up to jail administrators to keep the father and son apart during the extended stay.
