ordained a priest
Deacon Michael A. Zavage of St. Hugh Parish in Carmichaels was ordained into the priesthood June 27 by Bishop David A. Zubik in a ceremony held at St. Paul Cathedral in Pittsburgh.
Zavage, 26, is a graduate of Carmichaels High School and attended Waynesburg College for one year.

He received pastoral experience at St. Gregory Parish in Zelienople and St. Anne Parish, Castle Shannon.
His parents are Michael and Joan Zavage.
Bentleyville Holiness
will hold concert
Bentleyville Holiness Camp Meeting will hold a dinner and a gospel concert featuring the Van Ripers July 10.
A spaghetti dinner will be served in the main dining hall before the concert from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children 4 to 11 years old. The concert will be held from 7 to 7:45 p.m. in the main tebernacle.
The Van Ripers host a radio show on WPIT. The one-hour broadcast can be heard from 9 to 10 a.m. daily, 9 a.m. to noon Saturday and 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. Sunday.
A free-will offering will be taken at the end of the concert.

accepts food orders
Angel Food Ministries at the Vineyard Church of Washington, 100 N. Main St., will be taking food orders as follows:
n 11:30 am. to 1 p.m. Sunday and Monday;
n 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday and July 9;
n 9 to 11 a.m. July 11.

Yukon church offers 'Trash and Treasure'
The Church of the Seven Dolors in Yukon will hold its annual "Trash and Treasure" from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. July 11 in Rogers Hall, 102 Center St.
A variety of good used items will be available, plus new merchandise, including wrapping paper, note cards and decorations. The event is sponsored by the Christian Mothers.
A multi-media presentation on two tours to the "Passion Play" in Oberammergau, Germany, will be held following the 4:30 p.m. Mass July 18.
A tour in May and July 2010 will include Bavaria, Austria and Switzerland.

Servant Song hosts retreat weekend
Servant Song Ministries Retreat House & Spirituality Center, Waynesburg, will hold an Ignatian-directed Retreat Weekend July 10-12.
Directed retreats lead participants to a variety of prayer experiences intended to elicit a conversion of heart and mind so they may follow Jesus with greater faith, love and freedom.
Within an atmosphere of silence, there is time for personal prayer, reflection and liturgical celebration or prayer service and daily private spiritual direction.
Cost is $145 and includes room, meals and materials.
