Warrants also have been issued for the arrests of two men on charges they conspired with Wanda Sue Dessify, 46, to sell drugs from 444 Carson St., Monongahela police said.

"The neighbors, they had enough," Monongahela police Chief Brian Tempest said Thursday. "They wanted their neighborhood back. It was a joint effort to close down this location."

Police, along with members of the Washington County District Attorney's Drug Task Force, raided the Dessify residence about 5 p.m. Wednesday.

She was charged with possession, possession with intent to deliver crack, possession and delivery of crack, possession of drug paraphernalia and conspiracy to deliver crack.

She is being held in Washington County Jail on $25,000 bond set by District Judge David Mark.

Wanted on the same charges are: Israel Johnson, 26, who lived with Dessify, and Scott M. Davis, 23, of 31 Dovercrest Road, Eighty Four.

Tempest said Monongahela Mayor Bob Kepics met with a group of residents from the area in June, taking complaints about cars stopping for short periods at all hours outside Dessify's house.

"There were doors slamming, motors running, horns blowing, screaming and yelling and drug paraphernalia on the street," Tempest said.

"These are classic signs of a drug house," he said.
