Wild Things overpowered

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Amos Ramon hit a three-run homer in each of his first two at-bats Saturday and led Kalamazoo to a 10-2 thumping of the Wild Things at Homer Stryker Field.
Washington (16-25) has lost five of its last six games.
Ramon entered the game without a home run in 339 professional at-bats. His first homer gave Kalamazoo, the Frontier League's East Division leader, a 3-0 advantage in the second inning. He hit his second three-run blast one inning later to extend the Kings' lead to 7-0. Both home runs came off Washington starter Zach Groh (0-3), who gave up nine runs in 41/3 innings.
