A South Strabane Township woman who was charged last month with hitting her daughter with a baseball bat is facing yet another assault case, her third since April.

Sandra Leigh Perelstine, 44, whose last known address was 1394 N. Main St., was arrested Sunday over accusations she struck her boyfriend with a drinking glass, township police said.

This time, though, Perelstine was the victim of an assault. Police said the boyfriend, Michael G. Brady, 50, of 1388 N. Main St., South Strabane, bound her hands together with duct tape during an argument that took place at his residence, police said.

Brady is facing charges of unlawful restraint that risked serious injury and simple assault. He is being held in Washington County Jail on $10,000 bond set by District Judge David Mark.

Perelstine is charged with simple assault and in Washington County Jail on $1,000 bond set by Mark.

She is awaiting trial in Washington County Court on charges of reckless endangerment, aggravated assault and simple assault over the April 19 case involving her 11-year-old daughter in South Strabane.

Meanwhile, Perelstine also is facing charges of simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct over accusations she struck a different man in the head with a wire brush. Raymond Carter told police she also hit him in the mouth during the June 14 assault at her residence.
