Numerous people appeared in Washington County Court on criminal charges.

Appearing before Judge Paul Pozonsky Tuesday were:

George Girdish, 51, of 73 Grable Road, Marianna; arson; charged after setting fire to a mobile home he lived in that was owned by Helen Girdish; sentence - 9 to 48 months in jail, credit for 3 months in jail with the balance suspended if he continues mental health treatment.


Christopher Pastore, 28, of 624 Monongahela Ave., North Charleroi; burglary; charged after entering a house at 616 Monongahela Ave. on March 28 and removing six checks and $44 cash; sentence - 6 to 12 months in jail and credit for time served.

Brandon Wier, 20, of 5 Deer Lane, Avella; drug violation; charged Dec. 13 when found in a vehicle with drugs during a traffic stop on Hewitt Ave., Canton Township.

Kenneth Mosco Jr., 30, of 110 Knox Ave. Rear, Monessen; possession with the intent to deliver cocaine; charged at 315 Conrad Ave. Rear when found with cocaine; sentence - 6 to 12 months in jail.

Mikel Kettler II, 23, of 64 Buttonworth Drive, Palm Court, Fla.; possession of heroin; charged Jan. 25, 2006, at a house on Independence Road, Independence Township, when he sold heroin to an undercover state trooper for $150; sentence - 3 to 12 months in jail to be served in alternative housing in Florida if available, otherwise in Washington County Jail.

Billie Jo Dawson, 23, of 666 Linden Way, Donora; summary offense of disorderly conduct; charged Sept. 29 after furnishing beer to a juvenile; sentence - 3 days in jail, credit for time served and released.

Frederick Patterson, 36, of 433 Blue Jay Drive, Hendersonville; possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia; charged after being found with cocaine and drug paraphernalia in a vehicle parked in a wooded area near the power plant at the park and ride on the off-ramp on Interstate 79, Cecil Township; sentence - 12 months' probation.


Jennifer Meeks, 28, of 126 A Main St., Bentleyville; summary offense of disorderly conduct; other charges were dropped; charged after caring for a child Oct. 6 in an Oak Street, Ellsworth, residence where she knew there were drugs, drug paraphernalia and weapons; sentence - $300 fine.

Christopher Berardelli, 18, of 1030 Copsewood Drive, Bethel Park; 8 counts of criminal conspiracy and 8 counts criminal mischief; charged after throwing stones Oct. 22 through windows at houses on Wilson Road and Linden Road, both in North Strabane Township, and on Morgan Road, Cecil Township; sentence - 4 to 12 months in jail, effective Friday.

Andrew Powell, 19, of 2989 Eastview Road, Bethel Park; 3 counts of criminal conspiracy and 3 counts of criminal mischief; charged after throwing stones Oct. 22 through windows on houses on Wilson Road and Linden Road, both in North Strabane Township, and on Morgan Road, Cecil Township; sentence - 4 to 12 months in jail, effective Aug. 8, and 100 hours of community service at a VA hospital.

Kelly Lee Fitzwilliam, 25, of 58 Valley Road, Eighty Four; possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia; charged Oct. 10 on North Central Avenue, Canonsburg, while a passenger during a traffic stop when found with drugs and paraphernalia; sentence - 12 months' probation.

Shaun K. Grimes, 30, of 202 Russie Ave., Bentleyville; possession of drug paraphernalia; charged Nov. 2 when drug paraphernalia was found in his house when police responded to a domestic argument; sentence - 12 months' probation.

Nathan Dzimiera, 22, of 1513 Jones St., Monessen; possession of OxyContin and possession with the intent to deliver OxyContin; charged after selling two tablets to a confidential informant July 2 on Route 88, Carroll Township; sentence - 3 to 12 months in jail with work release, drug and alcohol assessment, attend Alcoholics Anonymous and forfeit $116 and a 2005 Ford Explorer; also sentenced to a concurrent 4 to 23 months in jail for a parole violation that will run consecutive to a sentence in Westmoreland County plus 100 hours of community service.

Joshua Bedillion, 22, of 1950 Park Ave., Washington; first offense of driving under the influence of alcohol; charged after a stop Sept. 21 in California with a blood-alcohol content of 0.223 percent. The state presumes intoxication at 0.08 percent; sentence - 72 hours to 6 months in jail effective July 25, $1,000 fine, 12 months license suspension, attend safe driving school and have a drug and alcohol assessment.

Gary E. Rankin, 47, of 566 Holly St., Mars; third DUI; charged after a stop Nov. 22 in East Washington; BAC 0.141 percent; sentence - 90 days to 23 months in jail with credit for time served to run consecutive to a current DUI in Allegheny County, drug and alcohol assessment, $1,500 fine, license suspension of 18 months and attend repeat offenders school.

Joshua K. Thomas, 30, of 29 W. College St., Canonsburg; second DUI, speeding and driving on a suspended license; charged after a traffic stop Oct. 16 in South Stabane Township when he refused a blood or breath test; sentence - 90 days to 23 months in jail with work release effective July 18, $1,775 in fines, drug and alcohol assessment, attend repeat offenders school and license suspension of 18 months.

Kevin Olinger, 49, of 14 E. Pitt St., Canonsburg; simple assault; charged after assaulting Rohaine Gohacki at a residence on East Pitt Street, Canonsburg Dec. 12; sentence - 3 to 12 months in jail with work release, restitution to Gohacki of $870, complete anger management classes and drug and alcohol assessment and to run consecutive to a 6- to 12-month less one day sentence on a parole violation; no contact with Gohacki or Danielle Metz, the alleged victim of a pending assault case, and a $1,500 fine.

Troy Jericho, 20, of 534 Prospect Ave., Donora; possessing an instrument of crime, theft and fleeing to avoid apprehension; charged after stealing copper wire from Allegheny Power Co. in Donora on Aug. 25; sentence - 3 years state probation and restitution of $1,500 to Allegheny Power plus 6 to 23 months in jail on a probation violation, credit for time served and released, to complete the General Education Diploma program and provide 200 hours of community service.

Eric Thomas Boyer, 29, of 42 Reed Road, Burgettstown; five counts of robbery and five counts of criminal conspiracy to commit robbery; charged after holding five people at gunpoint April 22, 2003, in a Smith Township store; sentence - open plea to be sentenced following a presentence investigation; no date set; remains free on $10,000 bond.
