A Bridgeville man was arrested Wednesday on a warrant obtained by Washington police in connection with the first of a pair of shootings last month that started in Washington and ended in Canonsburg.

Robert A. Seaton, 25, of 639 Montgomery Ave., is accused of firing two shots into the home of Ryan Wallace, 4501/2 Broad St., just after 7 p.m. June 28. Seaton also is considered a suspect in a shooting later that night in Canonsburg's Valley View Terrace housing complex.

According to the criminal complaint filed by Washington police, Seaton pulled in front of Wallace's home and twice beeped the horn on his car. Wallace walked onto the front porch.

When Wallace appeared, police said Seaton asked him, "Why did you beat my boy?" and pointed a handgun. Wallace ran back inside his home as Seaton fired two shots while still seated in his car. One of the shots hit the frame of the front door. Another went through the glass storm door and hit a door frame inside the house.

About 40 minutes later, Canonsburg police were called to the 500 block of Valley View just off Dawson Street. One man, Kristopher Strejcek, 22, of Washington, was shot in the back. He was taken to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh for treatment. Another man, Michael L. Randolph, also of Washington, was pistol-whipped. He was treated at Canonsburg General Hospital.

Those two men were reportedly involved in an incident on McCarrell Avenue just prior to the Broad Street incident.

Seaton was taken into custody Wednesday afternoon after going to the Canonsburg police station to talk with Detective Al Coghill and Sgt. Don Cross in connection with the Valley View shooting. Seaton was not cooperative. Canonsburg police were aware of the warrant obtained by city police. They kept Seaton in custody and turned him over to city police. Cross said police are wrapping up their investigation and anticipate filing charges.

Seaton was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller on charges of terroristic threats, discharge of firearms into an occupied structure, carrying a firearm without a license, aggravated assault and reckless endangerment. He was placed in Washington County Jail on $50,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is set for Wednesday before Senior District Judge Marjorie Teagarden.
