FLORENCE, Kent. - Florence scored seven runs in a fourth inning that eventually led to three ejections and an 11-4 victory for the Freedom over Washington at Champion Window Field.

Wild Things starter Craig Snipp (2-2) hit back-to-back batters in the bottom of the fourth and one of those batters - Erold Andrus - collided with Washington catcher Alan Robbins at home plate. The two exchanged words before order was restored.

Later in the inning, Billy Mottram belted a three-run home run off Snipp, who gave up nine hits and nine runs (six earned) in five innings.

Washington (30-31), the fourth-place team in the East Division, finally got on the board in the sixth inning on two-run home run from Ernie Banks, who had words with the Freedom dugout as he rounded the bases.

That led to a fight where Florence manager Toby Rumfield threw two punches at Wild Things hitting coach Jon Cahill. Both were ejected.
