CUMBERLAND TOWNSHIP
Minor injuries: William Ritz, 54, of Carmichaels, sustained minor injuries at noon Sunday when his car was sideswiped by a car driven by Heather Stockton, 25, of Smithfield, on Carmichaels/Crucible Road, state police said.
Stockton was traveling west, and Ritz was traveling east, police said, when Stockton crossed into the eastbound lane and sideswiped Ritz.

Fuel stolen: About 300 gallons of diesel fuel was stolen from machinery at the Greene Energy Resources construction site on Thomas Road about 6 p.m. Thursday, Cumberland Township police said.
Police said a witness saw a four-wheel all-terrain vehicle pulling a trailer with a tank on it at the site. The ATV drove into nearby woods.
Anyone with information on the theft is asked to call Cumberland Township police at 724-966-8296.
DUNKARD TOWNSHIP
Vandalism: Charles Lash, 71, of Dilliner, told state police someone spray-painted a van and a car parked at a residence on Budapest Road between noon Aug. 30 and 1:30 p.m. Sept. 1. Police said the garage was painted with graffiti and profanities. Damage was estimated at several thousand dollars.
FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP
Money stolen: State police said money from inside a truck belonging to Strata Mine Services, Marietta, Ga., was stolen between 8 p.m. Sept. 2 and 6:30 a.m. Wednesday while it was parked at the Super 8 motel.
Tools stolen: James Scott Sr. told state police a toolbox containing various hand tools was stolen late Thursday or early Friday from his front porch on Lantz Street.
WHITELEY TOWNSHIP
Weapon stolen: State police said someone broke into a vehicle owned by Bret Eisiminger of Waynesburg while it was parked on Woodside Road between Aug. 29 and Sept. 2 and stole a Kimber stainless .45-caliber target pistol, Leica binoculars and a spotlight.
