A Chartiers Township man was arrested Monday morning after allegedly ramming his girlfriend's vehicle with her and their two young children inside.

Daniel T. Kosharsky, 21, of 217 Wylie Ave., Houston, was charged by Chartiers police with three counts each of aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct, two counts of child endangerment and one count of criminal mischief and reckless driving.

Township police Sgt. Steven Horvath said Kosharsky and Danielle Hoy had gotten into an argument. She told police they were arguing over cigarettes.

Hoy got into her sport utility vehicle and drove off with Kosharsky following her. At the intersection of Pike Street and Country Club Road, Meadow Lands, Kosharsky reportedly rammed her vehicle three or four times when Hoy stopped for a red light. The couple's two children, a 2-year-old girl and 1-year-old boy, were in the vehicle.

Kosharsky fled and was stopped just off Locust Avenue by South Strabane Township police.

Kosharsky was arraigned before District Judge David Mark and placed in Washington County Jail on $10,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is set for Oct. 3 before Mark.

On Friday, Kosharsky was sentenced to 111/2 to 23 months in Washington County Jail with work release on charges of burglary and loitering and prowling at night. Kosharsky was arrested in February for breaking into the Smith residence, 60 E. McNutt St., Houston, and assaulting Shaneon Smith.

Kosharsky told Chartiers police that he was to report Friday to start his sentence.

In 2005, he was placed in the Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition program for first offenders on charges of sexual assault and attempt to lure a child into a vehicle.

Kosharsky was arrested Feb. 7 for assaulting a fellow student inside a restroom at Chartiers-Houston High School. Two weeks later, he was arrested for trying to lure a 13-year-old girl into his vehicle.

Two years earlier, he was arrested as a juvenile for assaulting a 16-year-old girl at the school. Initially charged as an adult, the case was transferred to juvenile court and he spent time in a juvenile detention facility.
