Stankovich - Martina

Julie Martina and Andrew Stankovich III were united in marriage May 17, 2008, in St. Louise de Marillac Church, Upper St. Clair. The Rev. Thomas Kredel officiated the 1:30 p.m. ceremony.

The bride's parents are Dr. Peter and Estelle Martina of McMurray. Stella Peternell of Canonsburg, the late Lawrence Peternell and the late Gordon and Angela Martina are the bride's grandparents.

Parents of the bridegroom are Carol Stankovich of Tobyhanna and the late Andrew Stankovich Jr. His grandparents are the late Andrew and Katherine Stankovich and the late Fred and Marie Frascatore.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Maid of honor was Michelle Jackson of Pittsburgh. Bridesmaids were Laura Brennan of West Chester, Laura Egbert of Philadelphia, Caitlin McKenna of Venetia, Kristin Smead of Peoria, Ill., and Tiffany Tomaski of Camden, Del. Olivia Terek, cousin of the bride, was the flower girl.

Brian Stankovich of Saylorsburg was the best man for his brother. Groomsmen were Mike Badessa of Mantua, N.J., Harry Dales of Elverson, Jeff Burns of Saylorsburg, Jon Apperson of State College, Jared Edwards of Chalfont, Chris Martina and Pete Martina of McMurray, brothers of the bride. Ring bearers were Matthew Kearney and Mitchell Martin, cousins of the bride.

A reception was held at Bella Sera.

The new Mrs. Stankovich is a 2000 graduate of Peters Township High School and a 2005 graduate of Penn State University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in finance. She is a senior staff accountant for KPMG, LLP in Philadelphia.

Mr. Stankovich is a 1998 graduate of Pocono Mountain High School and a 2003 graduate of Penn State University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. He earned a master's degree in electrical engineering from Villanova University and served from 1999 to 2005 as a corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps. He is a systems engineer at the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Philadelphia.

The newlyweds took a honeymoon trip to San Francisco and Maui, Hawaii, and make their home in Mickleton, N.J.
