Vehicle crashes: David Loy, 23, of Clarksville, escaped injury, but his passenger, John Musolino, 37, of Claysville, was slightly injured when the sport utility vehicle driven by Loy went off a Buffalo road early Sunday, hit a guardrail and rolled onto its side, state police said.

Harassment charge: Kenneth J. Benjamin, 22, of Homestead, is being cited by California police for harassment for allegedly sending harassing text messages Thursday night.

Teen faces charge: A 15-year-old Canonsburg boy will be charged with harassment after allegedly assaulting a 14-year-old Canonsburg boy Sunday afternoon on the railroad tracks adjacent to Pike Street, Canonsburg police said. Both boys reside in Valley View Terrace.
Games stolen: Bobbi Bernstein of 205 Greenside Ave. told Canonsburg police Friday that a video game player, games, controllers and wireless guitar were stolen in a burglary of her home.
CANTON TOWNSHIP
Handguns stolen: Dominick Pastorial of Jefferson Avenue, Canton Township, reported to state police that two handguns were stolen from his residence between August 15 and October 15.
Two arrested: Paul D. Malarkey, 43, and Ginger Lynn Ford, 36, both of Washington, were arrested by state police Saturday stemming from a confrontation at 1093 1/2 Addison St., Canton.
State police said they reportedly hit each other in the face. Both were arraigned before District Judge James Ellis on charges of simple assault and harassment. Malarkey was put in Washington County Jail on $2,500 bond. Ford was released on her own recognizance. Police described the two as boyfriend and girlfriend.
Charged with theft: James William Gaito, 22, of 2785 West Chestnut St., Washington, was charged with car theft, drunken driving and related offenses early Monday.
State police said they were parked on Cortez Drive discussing the theft of a car from the driveway of the home of Janet Bell at 1:25 a.m. when they saw the car.
Police stopped Gaito, the driver, and said he smelled of alcohol, but he refused to take a test for blood-alcohol content. Gaito was charged with theft, receiving stolen property, drunken driving and driving while under license suspension.
District Judge James Ellis arraigned Gaito, setting bond at $2,500. Gaito was taken to Washington County Jail.
CHARLEROI
Man charged: Donald Cooper Jr., 33, of 1010 Upper Crest Ave., Charleroi, was charged with striking his girlfriend, Amanda Miklos, during an argument Sunday night, police said.
District Judge James Ellis released Cooper on his own recognizance after arraigning him on charges of simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct.
Miklos told Charleroi police about 10:30 p.m. that Cooper, who had been drinking, hit her in the head with a shoe, pulled her and punched her in the stomach. Her right elbow was bleeding, police said. Cooper, who had left his home, was taken into custody at a bar without incident.
MONONGAHELA
Conduct charge: Henri Basha, 36, of 422 Second St., Monongahela, was charged by Monongahela police with disorderly conduct and public drunkenness after yelling obscenities while at Sheetz, 111 E. Main St., Friday night.
NEW EAGLE
ATV stolen: Thomas Kakos of 507 Hill St., New Eagle, told Monongahela police Sunday that his blue, 2004 Yamaha Raptor all-terrain vehicle was stolen from his fenced-in yard.
NORTH STRABANE TOWNSHIP
Vehicle hits tree: Tonya Sherbine, 35, of Parkwood Circle, Canonsburg, was injured Thursday when her vehicle went off McDowell Lane and crashed into a tree, North Strabane police said.
Woman hit by door: Mary Thurner, 62, of Upper St. Clair, was injured Friday afternoon when she was struck by the passenger door of her husband's vehicle in the lot at The Meadows Racetrack & Casino.
North Strabane police said she got out of the car driven by James Thurner, 63. She went to retrieve something she had forgotten inside the car. Her husband, not realizing the door still was open, started to back up. She was hit by the open door and knocked into another vehicle.
She was taken to UPMC-Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh for treatment.
SOUTH STRABANE TOWNSHIP
Drug charge: Ryan Umensetter, 23, of 238 Lincoln Terrace, Washington, faces a charge of possession of marijuana stemming from a traffic stop Sunday by South Strabane police.
Harassment charge: Ashley Midkiff, 22, of 20 Bel Air Drive, Canton Township, will be charged by South Strabane with harassment and criminal mischief after a witness saw her scratch a vehicle owned by Emily Sutton of Claysville while it was parked in the lot of Red Robin, Trinity Point, Saturday. Sutton told police that Midkiff also was leaving her threatening messages on her cell phone.
Faces charge: Adam Tyler Henderson, 24, of 1522 Ridgewood Drive, North Franklin Township, will be charged with harassment by South Strabane police after allegedly making threatening remarks to Adam and Kim Christian. The Canonsburg couple asked for a refund Sunday from the cinemas at Washington Mall because of technical problems with a movie they paid to see.
Teens charged: Three Waynesburg teenagers, a 13-year-old boy, a 14-year-old girl and a 15-year-old girl, will be charged with retail theft for allegedly stealing $103 in items from Wal-Mart, Trinity Point, Saturday, South Strabane police said. The boy is on probation for another incident.
Wheels stolen: South Strabane said four, 17-inch alloy wheels and Kuhmo Solus performance tires were stolen from a 2009 Hyundai Sonata SE at Washington Hyundai between late Saturday and Monday morning. The car was set on cinder blocks, damaging the rotors. The tires are valued at $159 each, and the wheels, $317 each.
Theft charge: A 17-year-old Bridgeville girl was charged with retail theft after she allegedly stole $124 in items from Calvin Klein at Tanger Outlets, Saturday, South Strabane police said.
Break-in attempt: An attempt was made Saturday to force open a door at Cosmo Plus, 466 Washington Road, in an apparent burglary attempt, Washington police said.
Accused of theft: Sara D. Ratley, 18, of 772 S. Central Ave., Canonsburg, was charged Monday with theft after allegedly stealing $600 from Nike, Tanger Outlets, on three occasions while an employee. She told South Strabane police that she was stealing money to get medicine for her ill father.
Driver injured: Carmine Forte, 62, of 139 Hancock Road, Brownsville, was injured Saturday afternoon when he made a left turn from Route 19 southbound into the path of a northbound vehicle driven by Brenda Murphy, 49, of 324 Thompson Ave., Donora.
South Strabane police said he was attempting to make a left turn onto Davis School Road. He was taken to Washington Hospital for treatment. Murphy refused treatment at the scene.
WASHINGTON
Charged after chase: Jeffrey G. Infield, 27, of 718 N. Franklin St., Washington, was lodged in Washington County Jail on $5,000 bond after a chase in Washington that state police estimated reached speeds of 70 mph.
A trooper stopped at South Main and East Maiden streets at 1:40 a.m. Monday saw a vehicle pass him at a high speed and caught up with it at Hallam Avenue, according to documents filed with District Judge James Ellis, who arraigned Infield on charges of disorderly conduct, criminal mischief, careless driving and failure to drive at a safe speed.
Infield was identified as the driver of the vehicle and was taken to state police barracks for testing related to his drunken-driving charge. As he waited for a ride home, police said Infield became belligerent, used an obscenity and refused to be handcuffed. Police said he was subdued but gave no details. They said a Taser was damaged during the confrontation.
Assault charge: Travis Rose, 32, of 173 Caldwell Ave., Washington, was charged Monday by Washington police with simple assault after he allegedly punched Misti Wolf in the head during an Oct. 15 confrontation at 520 S. Main St. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of Senior District Judge Marjorie Teagarden.
Harassment charge: Vanie Davis of 996 Jefferson Ave., Washington, will be charged by Washington police with harassment after allegedly pushing down Berniece Moore, 44, also of 996 Jefferson, during a confrontation Friday.
Vandalism to vehicle: Clint Rush of 606 Fayette St. told Washington police Friday that vandals kicked in the trunk of his mother's car while it was parked near their home.
Checks stolen: Nahema Sadler of 155 Brookside Ave. told Washington police Friday that her WIC checks were stolen from her vehicle while it was parked near her home.
Home invasion: Christina Metz of 282 N. Franklin St. told Washington police Saturday that a black man dressed in black and wearing a black mask forced his way into her home and demanded money. She told him she had no money. Police said he broke items in the apartment before leaving. He was 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighed 230 pounds.
Assault reported: Michael Bronder, 26, of Bethel Park, told Washington police that he was assaulted while in the parking lot of Chicken Charlie's, Jefferson Avenue, early Sunday.
Bronder told police that he was in his car when a silver car pulled up next to him. Three men got out. One of them punched Bronder in the face and took the Bethel Park man's gold chain with a cross, 67 Xanax pills and $27. Bronder followed them around the building and asked for his medicine back. They threatened to punch him again.
Bronder went to his girlfriend's home, and she took him to Washington Hospital for treatment.
Harassment charge: Dan Allender, 55, of 7 Rockmore Drive, McDonald, will be charged by Washington police with harassment for allegedly sending harassing text messages to Raina Knaus of Finleyville while she was at the city police station Monday.
Trespass charge: James Skidmore, 48, Kim Beatty, 48, and James Wisczcor, 48, all of Washington, were charged by Washington police with criminal trespass after they were found sleeping in the living room of a home at 920 Chartiers Street Friday. They previously had been told to stay out of the home.
