Gas station robbed in Greene Co.

The BP service station in Mt. Morris was robbed early Friday by a man wearing a black ski mask and armed with a knife. The robber walked into the station on Locust Avenue about 3 a.m., displayed a small knife and demanded that the clerk open the cash register, state police said. He took cash and five carton of cigarettes and fled on foot. The man was last seen running toward Interstate 79. State police described the robber as being about 6 feet tall with a thin build. He was wearing sunglasses, a long-sleeve black shirt and blue jeans. Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to call state police at 724-627-6151.
