Beinhauer Cares

This article has been read 1870 times.

The phrase, "Beinhauer Cares" is at the heart of the philosophy embraced by local residents and Funeral Directors, Rick, Scott and Aaron Beinhauer. The company owned and operated by these men is comprised of five local funeral homes, a cemetery/memorial park, and a pet cemetery. Years of hands on experience coupled with a legacy begun in 1860 have readied these professionals for many tasks. Being the only funeral, cremation and burial service company in the area they are able to provide the widest range of options and lowest prices to families.

" The dynamics of Western Pennsylvania families have changed over the years, " Scott Beinhauer relates, "Even though members of the baby boomers and generation xers have moved from the area, families return to use their local area funeral home. With families so scattered, a funeral for a departed parent is sometimes the only occasion when all the children are gathered in one place."

"While a family's base needs in terms of funeral services are the same, the approaches to providing services are very different." said Aaron. "Trends in the funeral industry have changed from stoic and dark to "celebration of life" events. The "Celebration of Life" funeral includes not just flowers, but portraits, memorial candles, photo filled memory boards, fishing rods, golf clubs, hand-made quilts, dove and balloon releases, or any service that provides meaning to both the family and community. Individual expressions are so unique, and therefore unique services are available. For complete details call 724-969-0300.

The five local Beinhauer owned funeral homes are located in Dormont, Bethel Park, Bridgeville, Canonsburg, and Peters Township. These funeral homes are equipped with areas to comfortably accommodate families. The amenities include children's rooms, and a Café. The funeral home in Peters Township has a Community Room that seats up to 150 people and provides a place to hold a luncheon, family gathering or community meeting. For more information about scheduling the Community room call 724-941-3211.

The Beinhauer Family expanded into cemetery/memorial park ownership in 1998 with the purchase of the historic 160-acre Woodruff Farm on Route 19 South. The Beinhauers want to preserve the scenic beauty of the landscape while providing additional burial, cremation and mausoleum options to families from both Allegheny and Washington Counties. Recent construction begun on the Woodruff Community Mausoleum will provide yet more choices in a graciously appointed building. The non-denominational mausoleum and chapel will have 1,100 interior and exterior crypts, 1000 cremation niches and a library room with 700 bronze and glass niches. Special grave pricing ($295*) and early mausoleum discounts are being extended at this time. The Annual Easter Sunday Sunrise Service is set for 7 AM on Sunday, March 23. For complete details call the Woodruff Memorial Park office at 724-745-7008.

"Proof that we listen to the community's requests and value their input led to the development of Peaceful Pastures Pet Cemetery, " says Rick Beinhauer. While having a booth at the Washington County Fair we asked the community what services would you like to see available. The overwhelming response was the need for a local pet cemetery. Because of the company's history in caring for people and being animals lovers we understand the often complex needs all members of the family experience at the time of a pet death."

Acreage adjacent to Woodruff Memorial Park was set aside to provide pet owners a place to bury, cremate, and memorialize their beloved animals. Final touches are being placed on the newly constructed pet facility that includes a Pet Funeral home and an onsite crematory. The website www.peacefulpasturespetcemetery.com provides pet obituary notices complete with photos, and a place for friends to send tributes. A Memorial Service and Blessing of the Animals open to the public is held each fall. Contact Teralyn Schmidt at 724-745-7008 for more information.

Perhaps the Beinhauer Mission Statement sums it up best.

"To celebrate a life lived by listening to your needs, developing your requests, and providing personalized service through our dedicated family and staff. We offer our trust, compassion, integrity and value. We are committed to exceed your expectations. Beinhauer cares."
