An Ohio man suffered a life-threatening medical emergency this morning while driving on Main Street in Burgettstown and crashed into a vacant house, borough police Chief George Roberts said.

Roberts could not release the man’s identity, but said he is from Steubenville and in his 60s. The man lost control of his car at about 9:30 a.m. and crashed into the house at 1404 Main St., causing substantial structure damage, Roberts said.

The man was taken by ambulance to a Pittsburgh area hospital, where his condition was not immediately known.
